Well I received my recone today and its the right model, but wrong impedance. I asked for a dual 1 and you shipped me a dual 2 Q 15. I posted on the forum as soon as I received my tracking # as it looked like the wrong ref. # because it said D2. I don't know what else I could have done to try to prevent this from happening. This is really rediculous that you guys can't get this right. Simple logistics starting from your ordering to your picking/shipping can't be done correctly. I will post a picture of the recone, but its obvious in the description you did it wrong from the start. I had my car wired and just made a new box and can't even get going with the recone p…

Saw a pic of a guy's sub on here and it looked like a TSNS basket i believe ? T3 and TC sounds use it, i thought the patents on this basket prevented people like you and all to use it. Would you sell these baskets seperate ?

After applying ca glue and forming to basket, how long do you let it sit? How many clamps do you use to get best results? Any other procedures that you've used that yield really good results?

The Fi BTL subs are amazing! I don't know if it is the new head-unit I have or the new amplifiers but WOW. It is amazing how tight the sound is compared to my old setup. My old equipment had a hard time keeping up with fast bass tone - changes and sounded a little mushy. I don't know if it is because I am running a higher ohm rating and therefore the subwoofers have a little more control, or if because I am pushing with 1 amplifier and pulling (180 switch) with the other, or if it is because my source unit is just THAT much better with the signal or what but - I am truly impressed with how good musically the subwoofers are. How clean and tight the sound is. Fast or …

Hi, im about to order a fi btl in the next few weeks. Im deciding between a btl 15 and a btl 18. I have a hyundai elantra with a 220 amp alternator, 2 batteries and a soundstream rubicon 2500d. I listen to almost all rap and im looking for the loudest system i can build for the lows. I can only fit a 6.7 cube internal volume ported box which is 5 cubes net. I dont know which sub would be louder in this size box. But i really want the 18.

I am looking into putting two 10' BLs into a new Camaro. My question is this: Will a Memphis PR1.1000 or MC1.1100 be enough to get them off the ground adequately? I know it's not going to push their peak, but I was looking at using two 10' Memphis C3s instead of the BLs, but I'd rather have the BLs because I'm sure that they will outperform the Memphis subs. Any help or input would be great, thanks!

Do you guys offer recones of any older Destijl subs? This one in particular is a Blueprint 1001. It doesn't have to be exact but I would like it back in working condition.

I haven't been able to personally see a FI dust cap, but is there a way to change the color to something not offered by FI? Is it possible to just take some paint and paint over the white version with the color I want?

I have four BTL 15 N2s, all ordered and received a couple months ago. The web site claims a cutout diameter of 14.125 inches. Well good thing I measured before I cut, because that's too big for any of my subs. And what's more, the subs all differ from each other! One sub takes a cutout of 13.75, another a cutout of 14, and the final two a cutout of 13.825. (I verified these exactly by cutting different-sized holes in scrap wood with my router, then fitting the subs). All subs have the same outer diameter of 15.5 (again not like the website, which claims 15.625). I must say I'm kind of surprised the manufacturing tolerances in the basket can vary this much? Is this expect…

I JUST RECEIVED MY ib3 12 sub which looks better than imagined and alot heavier too!! i read that its 550@20hz. i was looking into getting an alpine pdx 5 for my car wich is 350 rms at 2 ohms. does wattage affect output in a free air sub? does the 550 @ 20hz mean i shouldnt give it more than 550 or would 550 be the minimum power. i dunno, its a bit confusing. some help on this would be appreciated im not much of a noob in the audio world so scientific explanations are welcomed! haha

Finally got my 2011 SSD and installed it today. It's making a loud "popping" noise when it plays. I thought it might be because it wasn't sealing against the box right, but after several hours and a bead of silicon around the mounting ring, the pop is still there in full force. In person it sounds more like a metallic slapping than what the video shows (The last two hits in the video sound more realistic at the very end) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Egh_QLqf4ug Ideas?

I ordered my 12" X series sub July 15th. It says on the website it will take 3-7 business days to build, then it will be shipped. Today is the 21st business day! I emailed a while ago and received a reply on Aug 4th that the subs are currently taking 10-15 days to build and that my sub should be shipped out by the 5th. I emailed again on the 10th when I still hadn't gotten an update on my shipping notice and still haven't gotten a reply back. What is going on? If you are having problems and need to revise the ship dates, at least let your customers know. Me having to make a post and ask isn't very good business.

I've had a number of people make comments here recently that there are "Others" that "Make speakers in the states"..and it does not take them anywhere near as long as it does us.... Well..they do drop soft parts in the motors, however all of the motors are machined and pre-built (sometimes even pre magnetized) in China..and they get Chinese soft parts dropped into them with an American coil. There are no worth while viable options that can be put in here or any way of giving you a choice to have things how they should be for your installation. If you do not need a dual magneto setup for your top fuel funny car, but just a regular single pro mag..then only pay for the regu…

I have a 10" FI Q and a Audioque AQ1200 amp. The amp is a mono but it has 2 speaker terminals. How should it be hooked up?? The sub is a Dual 2 ohm, wired to 1 ohm. The way I have it hooked up right now is 1 positive wire going to the positive connector on terminal 1 and the negative wire going to the negative on terminal 2. Is this correct?? I just want to make sure the amp is giving out a 1 ohm load also so i get the most out of the system. http://www.audioque.com/assets/images/AQ1200_3.jpg Thanks -Mike
