I was in street B, and got 2nd place with a 140.5db run. Another guy from here "chapter 2" got 1st with 145.9db in street B. We were both running 15" BL, except his box was bigger than mines and he had a bigger amp... :-( Charles another guy on here took 3rd in street B with 137.6db with 2 12" SSDs. Charles man, BIGGER Box!!! I took 1st in bass race 130-139.9. Another guy on here Tom took 2nd with 152.2db in Super Street 5+, he lost to a guy that had 20 15" RF T1, thats not fair. Tom also took 1st in bass race...140-149.9....Tom did end up doing a 151 or so in bass race, that was not recorded. This all took place at USaudio, which Fi sponsored it by supplying tro…

Hello folks. I been a forum lurker for quite a while. I happened to run across a pair of Fi X 10 inch preproduction models. I have no clue as to the specs of these. A guy locally has them for sale..and I was very interested in them. Would anybody happen to know the specs(rms, suggested enclosure size) on the X's as I assume they were from the first run of the sub. Thanks

Just wanted to drop a line about the guys at Fi Audio. I ordered my Q12 on April 4. I just recieved an email that FedEx picked my package up today and should be delivered to me at the latest by Friday. Not a bad turn around time, took exactly 16 business days for it to go through the build process. I got an email last Thursday that they finished all the steel and were waiting for the motor to dry. I wasn't expecting the assembly to go that quickly. I had excellent customer service since day 1 and I would tell anyone contemplating like I was doing to just buy it already, you won't regret it. I had time to get the rest of my build together and am basically plug and play whe…

so im at the am/pm pulling out of the parking lot and some guy is egging me on to bump my chit......i dont know him and i dont have anything Que'd up (watchin TV) so with traffic backin up i had to bail. So i end up at the Shell station to get me some gas and before i know it, its a sideshow.....some guy heard me rumble by a few months back and came up and introduced himself to me and wanted to see it. So i show him and its cool, then someone else sees the back open and wants to check it out so he pulls over. So the nice guy i am, i decide to pull up and let him actually hear it from inside instead of across the street from Hollywood Video. You know me, i had to make som…

Went to my first SQ comp today and took home 1st place (IASCA) Running 2 Fi Q's Bass score was 16 out of 20 possible points. Would have been better score but the judge said I could have used a bit more power on the subs. (ran them set to Eric Holdaway's ears and some judges like more or less here or there) Way to go Scott da man, judge looked over the install after the SQ judging during my presentation and smiled when he saw Fi subs, said he was happy Scott was going strong (exactly his words). Damn Scott everyone knows you! I will admit I scored 26 points behind 2nd place for SQ due to front stage/imaging issues but stomped ass in install by 48 points. I will get …

Sorry for all of the NooB questions lately. I'm just undecisive right now. I do know I want to go with the BTL drivers, but not sure which combination. I have the budget, I have the space required. I'm not sure if I want 2 15" BTLs with 2k each or 1 18" btl with 3000-3500 to it. How do the Btl's compare to the MTX 9500 and the JL W7? Personally, I dont care for the JL, but I love the 9500s. Vehicle we're looking at is a big ol expedition. Plenty of room for something nice and loud. Not to sound childish, but I want something so loud, i can barely sit in the vehicle with it at max - if at all. i put a 15" 9500 in the back of a prelude once, and it was plenty loud then. - …

  20. Whats the major diff between a 15" FI BTL and a 15" Ascendant Audio Mayhem? Features and Nitche market.... I mean, I thought I read that the same guys designed and build both.... Both look pretty sweet... I would not mind owning either... Just real quick as I'm at work, was crusing the net on break but the biggest difference I saw besides cosmetics was the Mayhem has Silver 8AWG Push terminals 2500W RMS vs the BTL Did not see anything about the terminals listed on the site for the BTLs 2000w RMA Looking at all the Parameters most of the specs seem pretty close... within a digt or two... I'm sure there are others, but thats all I saw in the time I had.... Just curious …

Title says it all...I have a Crunch GP3000D and would love to move up to an 18" Fully Loaded BTL but I'm concerned it may not be able to handle the power...box is still up in the air, I have MORE than enough space to work with (almost 9 cubes) Right now the electrical is a 235A DC Power alt, big 3, and yellowtop under the hood. So before I proceed with any plans, with an 18" Fully loaded take 3kw daily without problems?

Just thought I'd chime in... haven't been around any forums lately, and I haven't talked to Scott/Nick/Shawn for a couple of months. I'm glad to see business is still booming. I purchased my first 18" fully-loaded BTL in August I believe... waited for my 20.1 to come in. Got the 20.1... and we built a 10 cube ported box, tuned to 30hz in the trunk of my 1996 Chrysler LHS. I gained close to 6 decibels going from an 18" SX and an Orion 1200D to an 18" BTL and a 20.1. My buddies Tom (forceofwill) and Robin (iamamp3pimp) with the BTL: After a local show (not sanctioned): It was loud, lasted me a few months... but then I had the desire to do a wall. It started out as a smal…
