Album of Fi BTL 15 Pictures I have a Btl 15 fully loaded with Cooling, HiXm coil, Inner Heat Sink, daily Driver, dual 2s. I was recently looking at my sub and found that the spiders were starting to crack. I thought maybe the motor was bending the frame and causing the coils to scrape. I had a friend post on a forum about frames bending and they all said the frame would crack and break before it would bend. I do not know if I got a faulty frame or what but my frame is bent which made the sub not be centered and caused the coils to scrape on the motor and put extra force on that side of the spider . I currently have a 12" L7 kicker DVC 4ohm With a 3.75^ 3.0cubic feet at 35hz enclosure. Im loooking into getting a subwoofe that has good sound quality that can possibly get loud and sound clean. The amp ihave is a kicker mono amp 08 ZX 750.1. It is 2ohm stable. Accoriding to its birth sheet if i can remember correctly, it was putting out 823 rms watts I was looking into the 12" JL audio W6 v2. BUT I was looking at the 12" Fi Q So i was leaning towards it... I am gona put 2 18'' Fi Q in my truck. I am not sure what to buy as a amp should i buy like the sax3500 or 2 sax1500(or propose anything) And would i need a extra battery for that or its fine?

Just as the title says, I'm looking at the best amp for my money to power my single SSD 18. Currently I will be using my 700W receiver as my amp untill I get a new amp for christmas. Sundown seems to be super duper popular, and apparently the best amps around. But the problem is that for the money, I won't be able to get 800W RMS if I go with sundown. I know its probably not recommended at all, but I found a Boss Audio amp rated at 750W RMS at 4 OHMS for $155. It didn't have any bad reviews from what I read. Hello, im making a box for my 15" Fi BL its gonna be 36 x 18 x 18 4.7 ft3 @ 30.5hrz daily driver just looking for some ground shaking fun : ) will this be a good box for that woofer?

Would it be better to get a fully loaded bl or q? Sundown says the new 1200 is capable of closer to 1400 given you have the electrical to back it up.

Now, before anyone tells me to read about the options on the Fi site, I'm just letting everyone know I did that. So know that I got that out there, I'm putting a 15 BL in a '93 Saturn SW2 in 4.35cuft@32Hz, and I was wondering what options would be best for me? I will be using this setup for daily driving and I listen to ALL types of music. Right now, I would be feeding this thing 600 watts, but will definitely upgrade to 1000+ in the future. I'm thinking that I will get the cooling upgrade for sure, but I wasn't sure about the flatwind coils. Whats good guys just found this board and decided to join. At any rate, been thinking of upgrading subs to FI but not sure which ones. I currently have 2 RF p2's powered by a RF P500.2 with a cap and am pretty happy with it but i want more. I found FI and have heard nothing but good things. Keep in mind i have a Chevy SIlverado with a sealed box under my rear seats. What FI subs could i use with this box or would u guys recomend another box? Really looking into the BL's but not sure what will fit and such. Any help will be appreciated

I have a 2003 mercury Grand marquis stock everything when it comes to electrical, system wise i have 2 15" kicker cvr's in a sealed box powered by a 1400.1d autotek amp, and truth be told i want to upgrade my subs. I was looking at the FI selection but cant figure out wich one best suits me i mostly listen to hip-hop and was wondering wich Fi sub would be louder then the cvr's i was thinking maybe a 1 15" in a ported box or maybe 1 12"? Hello. I have 1 15" Fi BTL for now and I was looking at getting another in the future. I found a pretty good deal on an Ma audio HK4000D. My electrical will have the Big 3 done and I have 1 Kinetic 1400 battery but also soon to be at least one more. Would this amp be worth the money to push 2 15" Btl's daily (Rap) to their full potential or is it overrated?

Hi, I am driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee (1993) and my current set up is a Memphis MOJO on an Alpine PDX 1.1000. As far as wiring, i have 4 AWG power wire for the amp (Knukonceptz Kolossus Fleks Kable), and I have put in a 0 AWG wire (also Knu) for the battery to chassis ground. I was going to complete the big 3, but was told by a mechanic that the other two were not necessary for my setup (stock 90 amp alt currently.) I receive decent voltage drops (almost massive at idle if i'm not careful.) About 3 weeks a go, my voltage dropped to the point that my amp went into clipping (or at least this is what I think caused it. Gain is set right on or a little below half). L…

I havent been on this forum in months so I did a lil update I am currently running 2 btls on 2 audioque 2200's. The subs are D/2 fully loaded. I have a 220 iraggi alt. The big 3, 4 kinetik 2400 batts and 1 yellow top under the hood. Here is a couple pics of the equip stripped from the car getting ready to upgrade. Now the question I was going to run the subs just 1 sundown 3500 wired to .5 ohms (just til I get the money to buy a second amp).But I read in another thread that it is hard on the subs. I didnt know that i thought it was only hard on the amps if your electrical couldnt back it up.

Just ordered my SSD 18 today. Waiting for my tracking number to come once its built, and then the countdown until it arrives. The sub will be going in my room, and I am trying to build up a good ported box plan now. Does anyone here have a Fi sub in their room ? I'm curious. Right now I have 2 10" Rockford Fosgate Punches from the 90s in a ported box. They are in the corner of my room, and can be heard from anywhere in the house. They aren't that loud though, being so old. But they do pretty good. They shake the siding of my house pretty good. How much louder do you think the SSD will be (assuming its in a well built box @33hz) ?

I read on this forum that FI sends a tracking number that is updated when the sub is shipped. Was i supposed to get one and just didn't? We do all of this here in house on either one of the CNC's or Lathes depending on the part...just an infinite amount of flexibility of what we 'can' do .

Not sure if this is the right place for this, i apologize if it gets moved. So my concern is if sub-zero temperatures have any effect on subwoofers or their electrical counterparts. I know it seems stupid but i want to make sure i don't harm anything. I'll be attending michigan technological university in the upper peninsula of michigan next year where its not un-common for temperatures to reach below zero in the winter. IS there anyway that prolonged exposure to those sort of temperatures could hurt my btl? or my sundown amp? thanks
