Ok it's time to start thinking about my crappy alternator and electrical. I'll start out by asking if anybody in here has a 2003 Nissan Maxima and if they have a HO alt. or one with upgraded electrical stuff? I've found a couple for reasonable prices but the sites are somewhat iffy. I was hoping to get away with just doing the big 3, adding a battery, replacing the battery under the hood, and buying a capacitor. The alt. I have now puts out 100-125 amps from what I've seen and I also believe it's the original one that's in my car. What do you guys think? Should I definately upgrade the alternator? Or go with my other choices and try to avoid the alty. part? I als…

I'm probably going to get a Bl 15 soon so i was reading the "tech" section on the fi website about the BL's. One thing i didn't understand is why they said that they recommend getting the P-chamfer option when they don't even offer it for the sub as far as i know. If you look at the bl's that option does not show up.

Well I sent in my FI sub for repairs at the beginning of may. Sent a few emails to Mr. Shawn, and he said they would repair it. After a while I started getting no response. I recently purchased a re cone kit and a CA glue kit. I am wondering if this shipped by default or do you expect me to ship the sub in? I verified the money was transferred from paypal, but I never recieved any type of confirmation for my order besides the default email. Has this shipped? Is there any way for the customer to check on the process and see the status of order? The order total was 136.20, and I have the paypal transaction ID if needed. I do not see a order number on the comfirmation email. It was purchased March 17th. RE SE recone was the order (15"). I have not recieved a UPS tracking number or any other email since the initial purchase. Thanks for any help …

Where can I find an accurate list of Fi or AA dealers ? I found a dealer on ebay, just in my island ! IT seems too good to be true, but did not find no prices. Btw, I live in Martinique (FWI) Can this dealer be legit ? Some people are interested in the BTL here, and I would not like them to have any problem.

This is out of pure curiosity. I just want to know what all the parts into these woofers are made of and i looked of on the site and found some things but im just seeing if theres any other specific details. I just want to know more about the internals than i do about the outside appearance. Simple question i suppose.

ok so i have a dual2 ohm btl hooked up with a 1 ohm load so for it to be stable how do i need to connect it to my aq2200d, bridged or what?

I've got some subs sitting here at the house needing recones. I was wondering if Fi has recones to fit them. First up is a 15" Kicker CVR (2inch VC), next is a 10" MA Audio MA100XE (2inch coil), and finally 2 Mass Destruction Sidewinder 12's (2inch coils). So does Fi have any kits that I can recone my subs with? If not, where can I look to find a kit? I can get further measurements if needed just tell me what I need to measure. Thanks alot!

Been waiting for 2 and half weeks

thanks to everyone that has helped me so far, i am finally building the box for the tahoe and i had to change plans just a touch. it was gonna be 48 wide, 21 tall and 36 deep with a port all the way across the bottom so port was 5 tall 46.5 wide and 22 deep i changed the box size to be 48 wide, 35 deep and 23 tall this is for two 18" fully loaded BL's with 1600rms each how big should i make the port to be tuned to 30-32 range

i like how i get my first 18 and it doesnt come with a template for the size hole... i built a box for it before bt it was way off and i just lived with it ... what is the best way to cut my FI SSD to fit in the hole like a king ??? any suggestions would be appreciated

Hey I was looking for some subs that wang, and I came across FI Audio. The SSD seems to suit my needs, but I haven't seen a price. What would 2 of these subs run me about?

My brother and I are working on and IB setup for his car. He really wants to use an older pair of rockford 15's, I'm guessing they are from the early to mid 90's. The surround on both of them is going bad and I am hoping that FI can give these subs new life!! I will try and get pictures of the sub, but am afraid that won't help you out much. So, I'm wondering if I should send the subs in or what, thanks for any help and if you could even come up with a price for a recone, that'd be great too. If you can't do much cuz i've given you almost zero useful information, let me know and I'll try and dig up more about the sub. thanks

Well, my brother purchased a kicker L7 12 about a year ago, and was powering it with a 1kw kenwood amp that really put out more like 3-400, and after selling him my bxi2006d he noticed that he kept hearing a slapping type sound. He pulled it out of the box and you could just smell the coil, and the sub was very hot to the touch. It wasn't the tinsels slapping or anything, it was something inside. He probably messed it up with that crappy old amp, so now he wants a new sub. With the hifonics amp I suggested a dual 2ohm BL with cooling, flatwind, and p chamfer options. I just ordered 2 recone kits for my FI BL 12's that are fully loaded from when FI was doing 4 inch voice coils in the BL's. I am trying to find out through FI if the recone kits i ordered can be offered with the 4 inch voice coil and if not will the recone kits i ordered work for my subs?? I left a note in the comments on my order but no response yet from FI.

After some time being away and such I'm getting ready to order an Amp and a BL 15". I've been looking to buy a Kicker ZX1000.1 but I have yet to be able to understand the relation of ohms between amps and subs...I'm terrible at math. The amp does 1000W RMS at 2 ohms so does that mean I would want the 1 ohm option with the BL? --Thanks for any replies.
