  1. Well I have had my Brahma for quite a while, and has been putting off re-coning it. While inspecting it today, I noticed that the pole isn't perfectly centered so the gap is a bit uneven. Apparently it has been like that since I have owned it, even while it was previously working. It's not a huge difference, but it is noticeable. I tried to snap a quick picture I can't get a good one that illustrates how off center it is. My question is, how much will this affect performance, if at all? It worked perfectly fine before in this condition. The only reason it needs a re-cone is because it was re-coned right before Adire closed its doors, and they did a horseshit job. …

Was just looking for some input on if anyone had experiences with the new 750rms fi x 15s. I owned a bl 15 before and was satisfied. Time to upgrade again and was debating between 2 fi x 15s the new 750 rms models or 1 fi bl 15 the 1500rms model and was wondering what would be overall 'better'. Vehicle that they would go in is a 2001 grand cherokee limited, power is a saz 1500d v3. For the two 15's I'd say box would be 3.5 cubes each @ 33hz, for the one I would do 4 @ 32....just my thoughts. Thanks.

So I'm new to car audio. And my brother has had a child and I'm 16 and wanting a sub he dished it off to me. Now I've been doing my research and I keep finding people saying it is going to be mandatory for me to do "the big 3", my question is is there any other options. Ill have you keep in mind money is not an object right now. efficiency is key for me. Thanks

I have an ssd 18 coming hopefully in the next week or two, and I just bought a brand new 1400 watt hifonics amp, with a 2 ferret stinger capacitor. Do you think I will have any problems with dimming and do you thing my alt will be okay? I'm not sure if it matters but I'm running all 2 gauge, and 8 gauge as speaker wire. This is all going in a 01 eclipse, I already have a fully custom box built for the hatchback, I'm just worried I'm not going to have enough juice to keep up with everything. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I used to have the 2010 model fi bl 15 which on the site was rated 1000 rms, fully loaded it loved my saz 1500d. I see the new models are rated 1500 rms, If I only added the cooling option would my saz1500d be enough power? I have always overpowered my woofers a little and am trying to keep my amp. Thanks

I bought 2 fi btl 15's fully loaded, but because of the backup, i don't have in my possession yet. i also have one kinetic hc3800 battery to supply the majority of the power the subs need. i have purchased a 200 amp alternator from Ohio generators, installed with a big three upgrade. i still need to decide on an amp. im not sure if it would be good to over power the subs by a little or not. keep in mind its just daily bumping. but as a fail safe i was planing to get the BC3500d. i plan on not walling 2 subs until i can save up for another 2 15's, but i will be taking out the back seats. the box will be both on the seat and in the trunk for the maximum airflow. if there is…

What's up FI world?! I'm new to the subs and I'm planning on popping my cherry with a BL15(Dual2, cooling, daily, universal) that I'm ordering tomorrow for every day use. Any suggestions on hyper pole vs cooling or both(yes I've watched the videos and read the description, just want some advice) before I order and I need some advice on a setup. I have two brand new hifonics amps(not sure how much love they get on here) one BRE2000.1D and a BRZ2100.1D. I have a 4 gauge kicker wiring kit and it's going in a 2007 Dodge Charger with stock alternator and one battery. Should I use one of the Hifonics amps and the 4 gauge kit or go in another direction. Had it on my STRK122 and …

I have 2 fi ssd 10's bought them 6 years ago had them installed for about 5 months, then sold my car. I finally reinstalled them about 6 weeks ago, and for the first time put them in a box that would really let em shine. Well the lead wire ripped off on both subs, the positive terminal on both was severed. But on one sub the entire speaker terminal housing was completely ripped off! I've tried to email fi, but got no response. These subs have barely been used and now they're broken. What can be done?

  15. Bought a Fi Q 15" used today and when I got home I noticed some small, minor scratches along the foam surround. There's cat hair stuck to the enclosure felt so I assume a cat scratched , not directly, but when it when climbing up on top of the enclosure while it was in his house. It's just a few millimeters deep in about 3 or 4 places Should I try and patch it with glue or is it probably harmless?

Hi, I'm looking to purchase some SSD 12's for my Camaro, but have some questions about the mounting depths. I've tried contacting FI for these measurements, but I haven't heard back from them. Basically, I'm building my box in the storage well in the back that will be flush with the rest of the floor. These cars have an odd shape in that well, sort of a T Shape. On the passenger side, I'm nervous that the ledge might cause interferance with the basket. The specs on the FI site, say the mounting depth is 6.5 inches, but I think that is from dead center of the magnet. From the pics it looks like basket tappers in, so I've attached a picture I found of an …

I picked up an IB318 in late 2011 to play with, thinking I would buy another one if I liked it. Well before I got around to picking up my second one they were discontinued for a while. I'm wondering if, for home use, if I buy a second IB318 now if the current TS specs are close enough to the previous model to just use the two of them together? If not does anyone have the TS specs for the old ones or any idea what would be the best route to take as far as figuring out what to do with the one I have or how to get a matching pair?

I have a alpine pdx600.1 and was inquiring on a 15 inch sealed sub box for this I currently have a JL 10w3 but want more bass but not at the cost of clarity. I have listened to 15's that sound great and I think going to a crafted sub I can achieve this. I have looked at the X series but like the Q's and not sure if my amp can handle the Q series subs. Any other recommendations are welcome.

I've never owned an fi sub and am looking to purchase a 10 ssd for my singlecab s10. I'm curious to how it would compare to my old 10w7. The only thing I'm worried about is ups being careless and knocking the sub around and damaging the sub. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Also a box. Leanin toward ported. I've built sealed boxes but think IDE be better off going ported for this sub. Help me out here
