I recently purchased one SSD in my old box and i absolutely love it. I will be ordering a second sub in a month and need to build a box for it. I am trying to figure out the dimensions for 2 12's around 4 cubes tuned to 32 hz. I am not sure how to create a box that fits these specs. My dad and i built a box for a w6 but all the dimensions were given so it was very simple. Any past build specs would be very appreciated.

Hello, I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to assist me with my first enclosure build. I created an enclosure in Torres that seems to meet my needs, but I am not quite sure if there is enough port area for these subwoofers. Being a long time lurker, I know the people here are quite knowledgeable, so I figured I would throw it out there to see if it will work, or if it needs to be changed up. Here is the screenshot for what I have worked up so far in Torres: Does that seem good enough for port area? This is going in the trunk of a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The dimensions for height and width are the max that I can get away with for front firing subs. If …

I was wondering what would be the best enclosure to make these subs get super loud, but not lose very much SQ? the max dimensions i can use are 58" (W) x 31" (H) x 38" (L), But that's max ( i don't plan on making a box that big unless that's what will be the best. Can you please give some dimensions or an estimate, and also what you think would be the best frequency to tune it to? thank you

I was wondering if someone could help me with box size/measurements. I have a Ford Explorer, I am going to be running a Sundown 3000d with this(Dual 1 BTL 18"). Space I have available, 40in Wide|30in High|75 deep(I don't use this area at all so it can be as big as it has to be).

I own a 2003 Mustang GT, and am trying to get the best system I can in it. I have VERY limited trunk space and so chose a single fully loaded 12" BTL powered by a Kicker ZX2500.1 (2500 watts RMS into one channel @ 2 ohms). I also have a kinetic 2500 in the trunk. The trunk opening is too small to get any sized box thru so I'll be installing it thru the back seat. The opening is 13" high by 32" wide, and 28" deep. I'm looking for a ported box to get the most bang out of the sub. Anyone got the best design for the BTL with the max dimensions (13x32x28)? Thanks.

So is a 3.9^3 box too big for a single Btl N2 12" on a Saz-2500? I know that the spec sheets say 1.75-2.5 cubed. It was professionally designed and the person who designed it says that it still falls within the thermal/mechanical specs for this sub, so they dont understand why i am questioning its size. I don't want to damage the sub with over excursion though, so any input would be great. Thanks!

Hi, i'm Patrick from Germany and i just ordered a Fi BTL 15 with Cooling and HiXM Coil for daily driver. The BTL replaces my old RE SX 15 wich i operated in a aprox. 4,7 cubes box, tuned to 35 Hz.... My problem now is that i don't know how to build a enclosure for the BTL because i usually calculated everything with Win ISD but this doesnt work with the btls TSP'S... Can you help me or say what i have to build. Max dimentions are: width: 93 cm or 36,61 inch height: 45 cm or 17.72 inch depth: more than 100cm or 40 inch I'm running it with a RF T20001bd and kinetik batts.. I hear lots of young jeezy and gucci mane... My Peak with the SX was 141,9 with 45hz on Termlab, hope…

I have a mazda ext cab pickup and have about 12cu feet to work with. I really want the FI Q18's. I have never owned a pair of 18's and that's what i want. I want to kind of do what Steve Meade did in his honda and build the enclosure inside of the truck. If i can't do that this is the space i have to work with 30in high x 49in wide x 14in deep. If i built inside i think it would be a little bigger. I was wondering if I can't fit 2 of the Q's, should I just use 1 of the Bl's?

Hey everyone. I'm in need of some plans for a ported enclosure for two 12" Fi SSDs (with copper coils if it matters). This will be my first box build...but I'm confident I can make a nice quality box. I'm just having some trouble coming up with some plans. Does anybody have some drawn up I can use for reference? Any help at all is greatly appreciated! Here's some info you all might need: I want the width to be 44 inches. It's going in the back of my FJ Cruiser and I am trying to build something like this: This picture shows what the actual box looks like: The width in the back is about 45 inches. So I think a 44 inch box would fit nicely like his. I'm mostly looking for…

I recently bought a 15' Bl and had a enclosure in mind. The enclosures dimensions would fit inside my car, so I went ahead and bought the 15' Bl with the cooling option. It arrived a few days ago and I was super siked. Then I realized how would I get this box into my 99' Grand Am GT. The box will not fit. (This one http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...=1218009774927). Now I'm in a pickle. I have found another box that is ported, that i think will fit in my car. It is on the small side as far as cubic feet wise though. link to it --->http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9026797&st=15+in&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1218009790168 Will th…

Forum, I have a SUV and my setup is 2 BL 12's in a shared chamber ported enclosure tuned at 33hz. I was wondering would the subs sound better facing forward or to the rear of my SUV tailgate? The subs and port are on the same baffle. Right now i have them facing forward and it sounds really good but just wondering am i losing out on that chest pounding bass if they are facing the rear?

Here is the Max Dimensions im working with Height 1 18.5" Height 2 23" Depth 17.5" Width 38.5" 2 15" Q's I figured out if I got with 65 square inch of port (which is only 10.8 per cube) I would have 5.6 cubes internal volume @ 32hz will this be alot louder than 5.2 cubes sealed? I could go with external ports and make it something like 5.8 cubes maybe, Box will be gettin done next week and I'm freaking out cause I want it to be loud Do you think sealed these two 15's will still be alot louder than my old 2 12's Kicker CVX's in a 3 cube ported to about 34hz? I'm gettin a headache just thinking about it

I know people are going to say it depends on my application, but what would be a good starting net volume for a box for a single Team 15. Running on a DC 5K with 2 XS batteries and a Northstar 170ft. Do these subs like bigger enclosures? I will be slamming it daily but also doing some SPL. I'd like to tune it around 33hz. Thanks in advance.

hello guys I have two Q15's in a dual chambered slot port box tuned to 27hz @ 8cuft. My question is will it be better to build another enclosure where the drivers share the same chamber? And should I double baffle it? Also, what about bracing? How do I go about doing it? I tuned low because I want the ground pounding bass that you get from the lows as I don't really play anything above 45hz. Thanks.

I am pretty sure I have neither the room or the amp for 2 of the Qs but I am getting 2 of em for $260 If I did want to change amps and run 2 Q12s, how much air space would I need to do them justice in a sealed enclosure? I have started to consider using both after a day to think about it. Initially I was only going to use 1. So, I guess I have 3 questions enclosure space for 2 sealed enclosure space for 1 ported enclosure space for 1 sealed Thanks for any and all help Jman Oh, the car is my 2001 Trans Am, I kinda want to use the space available on top of the gas tank in the rear hatch and get my ttop space back. If not familiar with the hatch in a 4th gen f-body, chec…

Car: 95' Lexus SC400. Driver: 1 or 2 Q's. 12s? Here's the deal, I'd love to do 2 12" Q's in about 2.8 cubes sealed or so. If I can make it fit. OR, I can do 1 12" Q and port it, but at what cost to SQ if the box is built properly? 1 Ported would yield a slightly smaller box if space is as much of an issue as it could potentially be once I tear out the false wall. The problem lies in that there is a Factory 10 and 2 4" in the rear deck, I think. 10 for sure, not 100% on the size of the mids there. The rear wall is steel with the gas tank there as well. Again, I have not had time to tear this out but I know there is at least some room in there because I've seen pic a…

Hey, this is my first post here at the SSA forum (oh whoopee ).... My question (YES, QUESTION!) concerns the tuning and enclosure sizing for the Fi Q18 D2! Firstly, I'm not too sure about the relationship between enclosure volume and tuning frequency. I did see the enclosure sticky, but am tuning differently than the sticky shows and am also not sure if the size stays the same for all tunings or not...I'm thinking it changes. I plan to tune to 16hz and wondered if 30ft
