Subwoofers / Speakers

ok since i used a jigsaw my circles for my baffle suck balls so i need to find something to seal the holes i have.. i cant use window seal b/c it will hurt the subs.. anyone have a solution for me?

So i have a Pioneer GM-D8604 4 channel amplifier. 2 channels are setup to my front component speakers and the other 2 channels are bridged for my subwoofer. heres the specs for my amplifier 4-channel car amplifier 100 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (150 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms) 125 watts RMS x 4 at 1 ohm 300 watts RMS x 2 bridged at 4 ohms (250 watts RMS x 2 bridged at 2 ohms) Im almost positive that my subwoofer is bridged at 4 ohms. not sure how to tell exactly? any easy way to check? but also, my subwoofer is meant for 4 ohm. so id assume its been wired properly, since it seems to be working fine. and my subwoofer is the rockford fosgat…

I found a 15inch zcon sort of locally for a good price but I dont have enough experience to tell if for sure it is. I will post the pictures of the sub, just dont want to get burnt as its a good deal and kind of seems as if someone could pass it off as another sub. From me comparing pics, the surrounds are the only thing that stuck out to me in the pics between all the ssa lines. I am on my phone now but will post pics when I get home. There is no pic of the dustcap and thats what has me wondering about it.

Just as topic asks.... how to you tell what the dual voice coil ohm is?

I have two E12s being hooked up to a 800rms amp. I want to wire them to 2ohms but I don't know how, I need a diagram or something.

I am currently running a memphis 16-st1000d amp. My question is: If I were to get 2 D2 ohm subs and wire them to 1 ohm on this amp, would it hold up ok? I've read that it has a 1100 watt output on 14v @ 1 ohm. I'm not sure the effenciency or anything though. I've done a little research but havnt found a whole lot. Running off 500wattsx2 bridged @ 4ohms rear channels of a crescendo1000c4. All stock electrical system 1999 volkswagen passat (I might get the big 3 upgrade if necessary). Would these subs have trouble reaching their potentional with only 500 watts split between them?

So I hate to ask this sort of question as I realize that the sound of a subwoofer is so dependent on the install, but as the few audio shops around here sell a majority of RF, Alpine, and JL products, I have no way to judge what I am getting into. So here I go.... I currently have two alpine type-s 10 inch subs running off about 500 watts in a very poorly tuned Best Buy box... I am going for a SQ setup and I am going to be doing this in a Dodge ram crew cab. My question is, would you put one really good set of components up front and leave the rears stock or would you put a good set of components up front and a good set of coaxials in the rear? The price would be pretty much the same. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I got an Email from this guy awhile ago named John from adassa audio promoting the Kevlar subwoofer. It seems to be built extremely well and its a daily driver and it says it takes 6 k! I talked to him about it and he said it takes 6k extremely well. And the spces seem very good. I am looking at upgrading the components in my doors and I have narrowed it down to these three components. I cannot demo the 165XL because no one around me has any on their demo board. I am wanting to know what you all recommend as far as midbass and accurate sound reproduction which are the better speakers. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was looking at this set of Hybrids, I had already set my budget at $500 before looking around a lot and I have heard good things about Hybrid Audio so how do you guys think they would do running active with a Sundown 100.4? Also I'm not so sure that the 6.5's will fit without mods to the door so if they don't then how will the 5.25's compare to them?

I would like to build a pair of homr bookshelf speakers using the Hybrid Clarus 6/5 set , But i cant find the dimensions of the drivers anywhere . For instance how much cubic ft is required for the woofers ... etc .. Do you think it would be a good idea ? plz help
