Subwoofers / Speakers

I am working on sealed for my 15 as we speak. Anyone come up with one that's 3.5 cubes at 27 that will fit in a trunk? My box will measure 16 x 14.5 x 31.5 and end up being the 3 cubes after bracing and displacement Just looking for other good ideas for a box that would work for me and maybe help others who haven't decided on what their doing yet. and.... HOLY chit am i excited i get a tomorrow...

I have four 12s (infinity dvc) IB into my seat, they work great and have enough output for me but weigh a ton. So I'm thinking of lighter subs that are more efficient as well. So I'm reading up on it and that kind of sub tends to make less sub bass but more mid bass....a 12 might split at 40Hz where the common HD sub makes more under that and efficient sub more over that (more db); so they have more rolloff at lowest frequency. I like 30Hz, not sure if I would lose much since the difference is not very great. But now I am thinking maybe two efficient 15s would work better; with a lower Fs they should get deeper than efficient 12s right? Maybe as deep as the 12 infinitys? …

got a Mach 5 Audio 15" IXL with a TMA T1000.1(made by JL) side by side shot with a 15" RE SX loving it so far:D gonna build a different box down the road, suggestions? this one is 2cubes@28htz(i think) vids to come, anyway to get a mach 5 decal for the dustcap??

Has anyone had them? I'm looking at a minor upgrade from a MAW12. I've got that ported 2ft box @28hz. This one's mint. I've got a 450w amp at 2ohm's and this PXW 1542 is a dual 4 but rated 600-1000w. I like the sound of the 15's, seems much deeper, not sure if it's be louder. I did have a Clarion Deck in the past and was disappointed.

I been doing a little reading on fourths, and I think I want one lol. My question is how much space would two sundown x15's need for a fourth order?

Powered by the rear channels of an Aura RPM4200 bridged for what they rate at 150-170 watts. Funny thing is, it was building up enough pressure in the cabine to feel air coming out of my window. Hello, I'm in the process of redoing/upgrading my subwoofer setup, and I need some help pertaining to the amount of subs and box type. I have a Sundown SAZ-1500d amplifier, 0 gauge wiring to it, and the big 3 upgraded. I am being limited by space - I'm working with an area approximately 30" wide x 18" deep x 14.5" tall. So, the way I see it I have two options - #1 - sealed box with (2) Fi SSD 12's w/ copper coils, or #2- a ported box ~2.25 cubes, tuned at 32hz, with a Fi Q 12. If it were possible, I would build a ported box to suit the (2) Fi SSD 12's, but I just don't think I have adequate room right now. My questions are: 1.) which setup will sound better overall? 2.…

My 96 Saturn SL2 has no trunk so I was going to move to infinite baffle to gain trunk space. I currently run a Zapco Ag650 pushing Image Dynamic HLCDs, 6.5s, and a pair of Aura Bass shaker Pros under the seats. My subs are currently Orion HCCA 12D4s driven by a Mark Antony MK2500D and according to my amperage draw and ohms law it tops out around 1600 watts. I may be reducing equipment to cut down on the room taken up. My wife has children and we are expecting twins. I have an Audiocontrol Epic-160 in the dash to dial down the bass on the subs. My 12" icon took some damage when I had my backpack in the trunk and it punctured a hole in the dust cap. The hole is small and I can't tell any auditory differences in the subs performance so is it worth repairing?

I was just getting ready to design a new box for my D2 and noticed that Stereo Integrity and the D2 are no longer listed as of BassBox Pro version 6.0.18. They used to be, but I installed the latest patch bringing me up to version 6.0.18 Pro and I can't find it listed to save my life. Anyone else missing it as well? Strange that they would remove it. I'm currently tinkering with ideas for my front stage. I'm looking for a particular sound and I'm not sure how to describe it but here it goes.... I have a set of Grado Sr80i Headphones (which I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who loves music) and they have lots of....shimmer? on the high end. I want that sound for my car. I want the higher midrange to be pronounced, I want to hear the details (such as the rasp in men's voices) and I want it to be pretty loud. How do you wire dd subs to the amp???

I have a huge issue. I want to go with the L8 to get the best mid/midbass and maybe a tweet form HAT but I CANNOT go IB. I can make a pretty big kick, but with my current situation I have to decline on the IB in door. Is this possible? If not, can it be done with a smaller HAT driver? If so how can I git-r-done? I have the sub stage done but mids are what I really really want to shine. Thanks all!

Two 15 fi Qs w/ BP would they be able to handle a Sundown saz3000?

I bought a set of RE AUDIO RE12D4's. I can't find any real info them. Anyone have an idea of what to expect put of um? Now that I'vd read throught the specs I'm not to thrilled I got them.

I was hoping someone could give me thoughts on going from a 15" Mag in a 3cuft sealed box to a 12" Arc Audio Flatline in a 2cuft portet box tuned to 32hz. I'm happy with the Mag's output and sq but I think I want a little more output now. Does the Flatline keep the same sq as the Mag does? How is the output of the Flatline compared to the Mag? Are the lows of the Flatline as good as the Mags? Thanks

hey guys, im getting ready to order a Kicker KX700.5 to run my components and a sub (possibly a MAW-15). I was curious if you guys think 400 watts would be enough to push the MAW-15 in a 2.2 ft^3 sealed enclosure. i tried searching over on caraudio.com, but couldn't really find much, so i figured i would ask here first. thanks for any help.

for the Mach5Audio IXL can you add any other options to add to the power handling? i like the IXL but need about 500 more watts of therm. power handling to add to my SA 3kd

I am getting ready to build a box for my MAW15 and I have no idea where to go with a design. The space I have to work with is 48"w x 21" h x 20" d. I'm removing my back seat and building a sort of half wall for it (all below window line). Can anyone help me?

Would a US AMPS MD1D (underrated 1200w @ 1 ohm) be to big for one IXL 10.2.2? Will be putting it in a ported box not sure what size yet so any recommendations would help. Thanks
