hey guys. sorry to start so many threads today but i have a lot of questions. so as u all know, i had a iraggi 260 alt on my ranger that im trying to sell. so i posted it on caco and today, i was offered and nightshade 18 V1 that has a torn lead, and $125 for my alt. what do u all think??

So i just got my wife 4 kicker cvr15's and i was calculating a box and holy crap 16cu ft!!!! At least!!! And kicker says that i should tune my box at 28hz??? Someone please help me out with a box...

This morning I got on the forum, as I usually do when I wake up, and I saw Fi added their team fi sub to their website but there is nothing that's shows up when I click on it. Will all the subs specs and a couple pics be uploaded today?

well igot some bad news today. my rl-p 18 came in and fedex must have dropped it. the sub was packaged perfectly, with a 2x4 and mdf crate that supported the sub, and a layer of foam to protect it from shock. but we all know how bad the delivery people throw shit around. the cone is locked up, doesnt move at all. upon closer inspection i noticed the motor had shifted about a quarter of an inch. is there anyway to push it back? or is a recone the only option? heres a picture. you can see where it was on the right side by the whitish line you can kind of see

I have $400-$500 to spend on a comp set and an amp. I've listened to a few sets locally (infinity,diamond,focal) I wasn't that impressed. However I have been researching on several car audio forums and have heard good thinks about hertz, cdt, mbquart, pgrsd and a few others. I can't say I'm more focused on sq or spl cause I like them both, want to feel it in my chest and hear the music loud and clear. If you can reccommend an amp with your choice that would be awesome. What is all the hype about the pg rsd? Is it because of the price or actual quality?

I was helping my friend out today wire 2 12" jls and we got everything setup and things were hunky dory. We took them from his old car, built a new box and tossed them in his new car. We powered it on (using multimeters to measure gains and SSF beforehand) and we started playing some tunes. All is well but I go to turn the volume down low to where the sub is barley playing and I noticed some scratching noise. I went back and pushed on the magnet (power off of course) and no scratching, no huge resistances... about the same as my 15. We took out the subs and they look fine. No bent coils (as far as I can tell), nothing is stuck, no burning...I took a quick peak at the term…

But just to let you on some new products, CDT has offered the 2in driver in the HD line. Uses a different coating on the cone than the ES. ES is more a delicate driver than the HD one. Its a little beast though. little over an 1in deep, should be fun in the car though. Careful on the crossover points though, from the little use I've used in a temp pod I think I like it at 1k hz and up. I'll be using it as my main tweeter with the drt-26 as my image one. I have 2 Kickers Dual voice coil 2ohm coming tomorrow. I see the diagram in 12volt on how to connect them at 2ohm. However, the box they are going in has separate chambers. Hi everyone, just put this new box in my trunk. Thought you all would like a peek. I built and installed this box in about 5 hours, so dont make fun of me. Its 3.5 cubes and the port.... well i really dont know how to port, the box was an experiment, its a slot port 3'x30.5'. It gets a lot louder than the two 15's that i had before. oh yeah 1500watts from rockford fosgate, daily driven.

I just installed my new IA 6.5s comps (2 sets) using the rear 2 mid bass only, they are on the IA 6.4 amp, they sound really good but when I try to get the right mid bass coming thru one has a pop to it, and they are just not as loud as I think they should be,so I am looking into the rainbow CS 265.25 just wandering if anyone here as any experience with them , and are they louder than my current set up,I am also using a death row 12 in a sealed box( yes sealed ) and it sounds great it does not miss a beat it is in a 1.34 cu box , any suggestions would be appreciated , 2000 celica

2005 dodge ram 1500 I have this massive triple sub 10", shared lower vent, chambered box 16.5x20x49(with port).... port size is 2.25"x49"x12.5". I have 2 alpine swr-10d4(1000rms-3000peak), and one swr-1043d(600 rms-1800peak). all were previously ran in parallel @ 1 ohm (i think) going to a rockford fosgate t1000.1 power series. Suprisingly it hardely even got warm and pushes them hard. BTW!!= I just yesterday wired in my red top underneath my back seat and i have that wired to the bullz audio 2f cap=> everything wired to that...(i have a normal stock truck battery up front) My questions: 1.Is my port the right length?(can it sound better if made longer/shorter/complete…

Just checking to see if anyone had any experance with C2 audio's line of subs? I just Purchased a pair of there Threatcon-4 dual 2ohm subs for what I think was cheap ($199 each shipped) and they seem to be well built. But there is limited videos and user info on them. They say they handle 1500 rms and have a 4" coil. They are a brick and morter store in ohio so Hopefully they will hold there own and someone can chim in that has used them. were there ever production d4 magnums made? if not, is it possible to special order some? i dont understand why they're all d2, thats great for one but what about pairs? i dont want to run my crossfire as .5 ohm daily, or at 4 ohms. are there other wiring configurations im not aware of to get 1 or 2 ohms out of 2 d2 drivers?

I would like to be pointed into the right direction for an accurate hitting sub. I want something around 300 dollars. And do you think the subs should stay around 500 rms so its not just some head beater bass. I am thinking about a 4th order ported box. I have a Boston Acoustic 10" in a .7 cubic ft sealed box. I am pushing 300 rms with an Alpine M500. Do you think I should just make a new box for better sound or just replace everything?

I'm starting to plan out my next setup and am a little stuck on what to choose. To start off, which ever I choose will be walled at the B-pillars of my 03 Ford Expedition XLT. I will most likely tune to between 30Hz and 32Hz. I have 2 SAZ-3000's at the moment, but will pick some more up down the road. So I'm looking for your opinions on which subs to go with. 4 Incriminator DP 21"s 4 DC LVL 5 18"s 4 Fi BTL 18"s I am looking to get really loud and pound out the lows. Well the title states it all. Im looking for one 12 to put in a sealed fiberglass box. For power I have a sundown sae-1000d and i have up to 2 cubic feet to work with. i was thinking of running a ssa icon in 1.2 cf. Anybody have any other suggestions?

Hi i'm somewhat new to this forum. I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad cab (crew cab) and am trying to decide with the space I have what setup will give me the best result. I'm really looking for Sound Quality and getting super low with loudness a given as either should get more than loud enough for me. The vehicle will be a DD but will also be a show vehicle/ demo for my installs, maybe a couple competitions if i can find some.The largest dimensions I have to work with are 24" tall, 30" wide and 32" deep.
