Yes I have a audiopipe 1800 watt amp and 2 12" alpine type r subs the are 1800 watts peak and 600 watts rms at 2 ohm and I was told this amp was to powerful for my subs just need help in adjusting the leveles so I don't blow them any suggestions or help I highly appricate it thanks

So i was thinking of 2 15's fi bl but it seems i will not be able to build the proper box. Don't want to spend money on good subs just for the box to be crap. So i was thinking of 12's. What do i suffer from by getting 2 12's?

first off i havent been on this forum in a while but im looking for a new setup soon and getting back into the scene. so anyway i sold my friend my fi bl 15 in a 3.4 cu.ft. box tuned to i think 30hz. i had it in the trunk of my 95 civic running off of a sundown sae-1200D and it sounded good and hit pretty low. once i installed it in my friends late model malibu it was running off a sundown saz-1000D it honestly didnt sound to good at all. so he is looking for more and he wants 2 15's but i told him its not gonna fit, so i suggested a single fi btl n2 12 or maybe 2 bl 12's, hes not rich so his buget isnt to big. any suggestions would be great thanks!

I'm still tossing ideas around and was wondering which would work best in the space I have. I have 44"w X 30"d X 18"h to work with could be a little taller but was hoping to keep it close to 18" or less. I was wondering if 2 gcon 15"s would have more output than 1 18" icon. I'm pretty sure I'm going to run a crescendo bc 2000d at 2 ohms. What do you guys think would have more output? It will be in a 03 ford explorer.

My question is can i use 14g wire to make My subs 2ohm?Then run 12g wire from the Sub to the amp?

I've heard as a general rule to have at least 12in^2 of port per cubic ft. Is this solely to keep port noise down? Reason I ask is because a box size I've tinkered around with for my next build has 8.5-10in^2, yet in Winisd Pro it shows to only have a port velocity of about 60 ft/s. I've heard anything under 100ft/s is fine. Am I missing something? Facts wrong maybe?

I am trying to decide which way to go I know both company and subs are of the best quality just can't decide. So I'm coming to great group of guys for help. I will be running a BC5500 and I want four 15. I want loud but clean. I've had a sundown nightshade z 18, a dd9515, skar vvx 15s just to give you some of the other systems I've ran. I like the dd9515 control and loudness but nothing rocked the jeep like the nightshade but it missed alot of notes. I want the love child of this two subs. Thanks for your advice.

I am Thinking about reverse mounting 2 FI BL 12's and was looking at some researcha bout wiring and reverse polarity and what not. When i mount them in reverse should i reverse the polarity aswell? ???

So yet again for the umpteenth time I am changing my sub bass setup. Now that I have an excellent sounding front stage an over powering sub system ruins it. My front stage is also very loud, loudest front stage I ever had. Although I am not looking for the output I have had in previous sub bass setups it still needs have a volume level to match my front stage. One thing I can not have is a large enclosure. Largest possible would be 3 cubes gross. I am thinking about going IB. I would not have to mess around with an enclosure and from what I have read they are the most accurate sounding sub bass types. Hi guys I have been looking at these little guys for awhile and have thought about running them in my 03 ford explorer behind the third row seats. At first I thought about running them off a sundown sax 1200d but now I have come across this website and discovered crescendo audio and seen the bc 2000d and love the way it looks and its a little cheaper. I was just wondering if these little beast would hold up or am I better off running the sax 1200d?

Hey just wondering what you guys would set your subsonic and lowpass filters to. I listen to all types of music and would just like to get some more output on songs other than rap. Just wondering where i should go i think i am at like 80 on low pass and 35 on subsonic. Thanks

It seems like I need to build a new box for the BMW cabrio install I fixed. The car currently has a shitty ported box, which fires towards the back in a "tub" formed by a cosmetic fiberglass panel. Port fires to the front, into the ski port. Sub orientation has to stay as it is now, I don't want to build that cosmetic fiberglass panel. The main goal is to have a loud'ish sounding setup when the hardtop is off, trunk open and closed and something that can put up a half-decent score with the hardtop on. Hi, So I just placed a big order for my dream system off of SSA, consisting of 2 15" SSA Icons, a Crescendo BC2000D, XS2700 and stickers, The subs will be going in a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, I will be removing two seats in the rear and have dimensions of 22" H, 30" W by 34" deep. Ill be getting DC to design me a box, just wondering what tuning I should ask for and where to put port if subs are on the top plane? I want something fairly balanced SQ to SPL but more to SQ side definitely. Love hitting the Lows hard and want to push lots of air. I have 2 18" Zcons I recently got, and I just realized the baskets are slightly different. 1 sub stands a little taller then the other, one basket has the option to be a quad terminal, and has different cooling. Wondering if I can still wire subs together to 1 amp with no worries. All coils read 1.0

Been awhile since I've been on here. Had to put my system on hold there for a while. Finally got my Fi Q installed about a month ago. I will have to update my build log here soon. Anyways my Q is rusting all to shit. Like I said it's only been installed for about a month. Which has me wondering how bad it's going to look further down the road. Since my box has a plexi viewing window its quite the eye sore. Was thinking about picking up some rust remover and seeing if that takes care of it. Is there anything else I can put on it to protect it from rust?
