I have more work to do, but so far I have to say the XCON is a low end beast! I built a sealed enclosure that is 1.25 cubes and have a temp amp right now which is a RF 500.1. I have some fine tuning to do, but right off the bat, I know I will be happy with this sub. Played a couple tracks from Bass 305, some Decaf, and some Lamb of God. The presence of the sub is amazing! Completely transparent and I cannot tell where the sound is coming from most of the time, which is due to the setting I have the crossover at currently. I have the crossover set a little high right now, right around 80hz. I'll start to dial it back after I mess with my comps a bit. I haven't had a sub…

Ok so lets say I could get a SI MAG 12" for about $350. At the same time, I could be getting a RE SX 15" for $250. I am looking for LSQ and hear they both sound good. How much better SQ would the Mag have? How much better SPL would the SX have? Which is the best bang for the buck?

Wassup guyz, I am planning on getting rid of my aq hdc3 18 by Christmas and switch to either an xcon or a zcon. I will have 1500 rms on tap a saz 1500 to be exact, but may strap another if I go with the zcon, what I would lime to know is: is the zcon safe on 3000rms daily, will I lose a bunch of sound quality from xcon to zcon, and what would you guyz do?

Im wanting to get a two 15" setup. Either Fi Q or Fi BL. Its gonna be an everyday setup. I just dont know which to get. Either one, I will get will be fully loaded and then the amp to go with it. It's going in a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LT. And I know I'll have to upgrade all my electrical, but I don't know hardly anything about car audio so any help will be useful

I have a Cerwin Vega Vmax 12" and am looking to build a ported box for it, but cannot find the specs! Anyone know of the specs and/or tune it to? It is the newest model, hard to find on the web. All black cone with Red Lettering, not the silver model. Thanks for any help at all!

has anybody here had any expirience with their 6.5s and bullet tweets cuz i plan doing my next build with lots of mids and highs and the midranges they have look nice. i know alot of people are running seleniums and eminence these i have delt with but i want something a lil different.

Today I picked up my 15" MAG and found it to be in excellent condition. Bought it off CA for $200!! Anyway for the next couple weeks I'll put it in a sealed box until I get the chance to talk to Woodlawn Cabnitry (Phil Salisbury) in person about fitting a ported box in my trunk. SI's site suggests 2.3-3 cuft sealed. I couldn't find driver displacement on SI's site so I'm guessing its around .19 (using Fi Q's displacement, fair assumption?). I am lookin to replace my current single Diamond D3 10 with a single or possibly two 12's but dont want to buy run of the mill subs (ie JL Rockford Alpine) and would like to explore other options. Temporarily finished. I had Tara Labs custom make me some Spectrum 3 "Y" calbes and they showed up today. On to the pics. I'm just going to dump them on here and then hit the road. I've been an OZ Audio for the past 13 years. Unfortunately, they are no longer making speakers. I've been looking for a new company to go with as far as speakers and have been hearing a lot of good things about Hybrid. I can't seem to find any specs on the Legatia Pro series? Specifically the 6.5" comp set (or 7.1?). My speaker locations have a very limited outer diameter and mounting depth. Thanks

My buddy has 2cubes available in the back/trunk of an old school vette. What would give him the best overall sound out of 4 re rex10's, 2 pg rsdc12's, or a jl audio, or re se 15? All sealed off of an audioque1200.1? He listens to alot of spanish and a lil bit of rap. Big three upgraded and a decent battery under the hood lol I figured it would be the 12's bcuz the 10 wouldn't be able to get low do to the amount of air space, .5 cubes is recommended. And the 12's have more surface area than the 15. Thanks for any advice. budget is around $200 And I guess a ia 187 12's or a 15??

I was looking through Craig's List and saw someone in Dade City, FL had two Funky Pup 12"s for $80. I was tempted....soooo tempted.

I was on the forums awhile ago and got some great help designing a box from a member (can't remember who). Just wanted to show what he helped me do. I have 3 SSA DCON 12's in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe. I just metered on a TermLab and the results were great. I have had this system in for over a year and this is the first time I have had it metered. I am doing single 10 setup, want some really nice SQ without doing sealed box. 1.25 net tuned to 29. Subs are similarly priced. I have owned FI Q 12 before and liked it but am intrigued by the Icon. Anyone owned both in any size?

Alright guys, I'm about to get a whole lot of xmas money with it being my last xmas at home (senior in high school) so I want a really nice front stage. They will be getting no less than 125wrms and mounted in the doors of my explorer with plenty of SDS,. I'll go as high as 400 bucks. I'm assuming this is the sound of the XCON bottoming out? I had little power on the sub before and just got a new Crescendo amp (1500.1) and decided to see what the excursion looked liked and noticed it started making a noise that sounded like it was hitting the backplate. Visually I guess I was thinking the XCON was going to move a little more before bottoming out. The thing still moves quite a bit. Just thought I would see what you all thought. I only did this for the second time in the video, and won't be doing it again.

Testing one of these out before i order 4 more to complete the setup Both amps @ .5, havent clamped them yet....i might do that today, but theyll do rated power from other peoples results ive seen Full tilt not clipping the amps itll take the power all day long....when i clip it full tilt gets a bit louder but can start to smell after a min or 2 of a constant song. With my car falling apart and things being broken I'm done with my 18. I currently have the image dynamics 6.5 component set in the front but they wouldn't sound that good without a subwoofer. I can probably get 3-400 for my 18 and the box. With that budget what can I do in the front to make it sound good and still hit decent without a subwoofer. My amp puts 50x4 at 4 ohms, 100x4 at two ohms and 200x2 at 4 ohms.

Hey guys, new to the forum here. Starting a build for my single cab. What I have to work with (30-33" L, 10" W, 15-20" H) has limited me to a set of (2) 8's it seems, even though physically I have the volume for 10's or a 12. I have it dialed down to a few subs and I was curious what you guys think? This topic is beating a dead horse, I know. But I'm looking to throw 7-800 RMS on each 8. Looking for something that has some authority in the 32-36 hertz range. My music is 99% rap or decaf with some low bass.
