With my car falling apart and things being broken I'm done with my 18. I currently have the image dynamics 6.5 component set in the front but they wouldn't sound that good without a subwoofer. I can probably get 3-400 for my 18 and the box. With that budget what can I do in the front to make it sound good and still hit decent without a subwoofer. My amp puts 50x4 at 4 ohms, 100x4 at two ohms and 200x2 at 4 ohms.

I'm looking for the best set of component speakers around $100 and coaxial around $50-60. Doing a budget build in my new car. Speakers will be powered by NVX JAD900.5 about 70w at 4ohm First I was looking at the NVX V-series 6.5" component and coaxial. They have decent reviews I can get both speakers in a set for $129.99 What are some other options in the same price range. I'll be using a sundown sa-8 v3 for a sub. Just want something that will sound good with it.

Hey guys, new to the forum here. Starting a build for my single cab. What I have to work with (30-33" L, 10" W, 15-20" H) has limited me to a set of (2) 8's it seems, even though physically I have the volume for 10's or a 12. I have it dialed down to a few subs and I was curious what you guys think? This topic is beating a dead horse, I know. But I'm looking to throw 7-800 RMS on each 8. Looking for something that has some authority in the 32-36 hertz range. My music is 99% rap or decaf with some low bass. Some rock here and there but not enough to justify changing dimensions of box for it. I'm working with Bassahaulics on a box build. For subs I've dialed it down to thes…

Now that my system has begun we are looking to build hers. Just on saturday she decided she wanted to start a system for her Kia Soul. This was decided when she bought an Alpine MRX-M55 amp because it was on sale at one of local shops.$230 canadian. I was surprised but happy. She bought it then asked if it was a good deal and a good amp. Guy at store recommended it to her. I figure good amp for that price. Anyways lol. Looking at Fi X12 or Gcon 12 to pair with this amp. She loves metal, Club and yes Bieber LOL so pretty much all types of the bass range. I'm thinking Gcon but she says why not the one you got which was Fi. Any input or other recommendations appreciated…

well I wasn't having any luck with WinISD. So I'm asking the experts. I have a Scion tC and need to have as much trunk as possible. I know sealed is most always smaller than ported boxes....but aren't as loud but have better SQ generally. I want the sub to be hit 30Hz at -3dB. I play a lot of rap, metal, and trance and I want it all to be able to sound good. What size sealed box and what size & tuning ported box should I get to fit my needs?

Ok Im torn between 2 diff. subwoofers. I have a 2010 civic coupe with about 8 cubes of trunk space i believe. I'm primarily looking into either a single FL Fi Q 15 or a Ascendant Audio Havoc 15. I'm planning on running this sub on a SAZ 1200D that im pickin up next month, electrical will be upgraded soon (big 3 bigger alt possibly & better batt.) & enclosure would be built later most likely roughly 4.5 cubes @ anywhere from 28 - 34 Htz. I cant decide which sub to get, any other suggestions would be appreciated. What I want are 1. Single sub 2. take roughly 1k rms without exploding into a fiery mess

Today I picked up my 15" MAG and found it to be in excellent condition. Bought it off CA for $200!! Anyway for the next couple weeks I'll put it in a sealed box until I get the chance to talk to Woodlawn Cabnitry (Phil Salisbury) in person about fitting a ported box in my trunk. SI's site suggests 2.3-3 cuft sealed. I couldn't find driver displacement on SI's site so I'm guessing its around .19 (using Fi Q's displacement, fair assumption?). For those who have used their Mag in a sealed box, I was wondering what size the enclosure was, how the results were and if you would suggest it being a little bigger or smaller. Right now I'm thinking of 2.5cuft after driver displacem…

Hello all. Like the new front page Very nice Had a little test at the Talk Audio Guildford Meet on Sunday. With my Vectras rushed boot install. Sorry this is one of my worst ever installs. I`m ashamed to show it. But it is loud!!! Yes that`s an Orion 5000d running @ a 1ohm load to those two 12" Baby Mags. Here are the scores: Peak Freeq = 142.3dB @ 20Hz 40 Hz= 141.4dB 33 Hz= 141.5dB 25 Hz= 141.4dB 20 Hz= 142.3dB Total Average score = 141.7dB Very Happy with those scores :earmuffs: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the Escort. I`ve another 15" Mag on it`s way to me Thanks to Nick …

So I ordered 2 18" FI BTL's and I'm trying to figure out exactly how much power these subs can hold. They say that their rated at 2000RMS but I have heard people putting 3000 on them no problem. The subs will be fully loaded and I was thinking about putting 1 Sundown 3500 on each sub.Is that too much?

I have a decision to make my choice is ether 4 SA-15s or 2 18" Z's. I have a Tahoe but I'm keeping my second row seat. I will power the subs with 2 crescendo 2k's(1 for now). My overall goal is to eventually hit around 145-147 on music and maybe 150 burb( I care more about music) . I'm not going to compete I just want a loud street beater. Also it will be tuned around 35-37hz. What does the community think would be better?

I've been an OZ Audio for the past 13 years. Unfortunately, they are no longer making speakers. I've been looking for a new company to go with as far as speakers and have been hearing a lot of good things about Hybrid. I can't seem to find any specs on the Legatia Pro series? Specifically the 6.5" comp set (or 7.1?). My speaker locations have a very limited outer diameter and mounting depth. Thanks

how are these subwoofers in terms of SQ/SPL i know that focal is more of a SQ speaker rather than SPL but i was wondering how 2 of these would sound with about 500 watts running to each sub. Also, what kind of box would you put these in? Ported or Sealed One more thing, what kind of amp would you run to power these I was looking at the PG Xenon 1200.1, or the RE 12.1, if you have any other reccomendations let me know Thanks in advance!

I am new to this forum and am a member of caraudio.com and mwcaraudio.net. I think its obvious SSA makes their own subs. I have run Sundown and IA and currently am in between systems, trying to get ready for MECA competitions in Va. My latest set-up was a 12" Warden on an RD 3250 V.1 My question is, what makes SSA subs different from the rest ? Being on this forum, i figure i can get the best answers from the company and members who have run SSA subs themselves.

I have a Cerwin Vega Vmax 12" and am looking to build a ported box for it, but cannot find the specs! Anyone know of the specs and/or tune it to? It is the newest model, hard to find on the web. All black cone with Red Lettering, not the silver model. Thanks for any help at all!

I used to have a single 10 DCON sealed with about .7 ft^3 of airspace and loved it, just wanted a tad more output. I figured the easiest way would be to put 2 10's in a sealed box. The problem is I'm not sure if I have optimal room for it. I've got a 08 Passat that I want to keep the spare tire available which restricts my area for the box to against seats where the trunk curves in. Not sure if this would give me optimal enclosure for 2 DCONs. My next thought would be to put 2 8" subs instead. The best 8 inch subs I've seen are the Sundown SA-8. Anyone have any other recommendations that fit for my application? Long story short, here are the cliffs: - Max dimensions are 8…
