What's the difference between spectrum and spectrum sludge? I plan to use it under my back seat and in my trunk. I already have some raamat and ensolite in my trunk. I did not do a good enough job on the trunk. Can I lay some spectrum on top of the ensolite or will this not make as much of a difference compared to bare metal. I plan to lay around 3-4mm. and ensolite on top.

trying to get a crx but was wondering how much spectrum sound deadener it would take to do the car's rear hatch or is there a better product from SS to use. thanks

I have an amp mounted in a way to where it is 100% in direct sunlight and there literally is no other place i can mount the amp due to space issues. It is about 2" away from the hatchback glass. The back hatch is layered in a sheet of tint and then another layer of blue tint for a graphical image then a clear coat sheet is layed over that. Is it ok, practical, doable, only way u may know of to take a sheet of heatwave or the Pro and stick it onto the tint to prevent the amp from getting excessively hot? I turned the car on today and the amp was in protect. I check everything, voltage is at 13.3v, impedance is right where it is suppose to be but i noticed the amp was in pr…

1. on the liner pro. i see it some in 9 SF sections... but i have to ask, how tall and how long is 1 sheet? 2 i planed on useing a product between my door pannel and the door, i see two products are offered, 1 shows to be installed INSIDE the door (the over kill) and the pro liner does not have a video, explaning on how it should be used,. 3 i have a over head console that is pretty short but gives ALOT of noise. suggestions? heres a vid of the console not a great one.. but its not much longer then you see in the video. near the end you can see the whole thing heres a vid of it in action. 30 seconds in.

well i gots an 03 jetta which is already fairly quiet (ive heard much worse) but im curious of the power of dampener. i plan on ordering about 80 sq ft and starting with the trunk and working my way forward. My goal is mostly to keep the sound in and maybe take out a few small rattles in the process. My question is if ordering the overkill where do i put it in the trunk and how much should i order? i noticed the placement behind the door speakers and on the inner wall of the door. do you think overkill over more layers of dampener is the way to go to up the sound quality inside or should i put more money into more dampener?.... so whats ur advice? thanks in advanc…

I'm trying to figure out approximately how much i'll need just to do a fairly thorough job in the trunk of G35 coupe without going crazy. this is for a temporary smaller install and i will probably add a bit more in the future when i apply damplifier to the rest of the car. do you think 20 sq ft is enough for starters in a small trunk?

We have been developing a new product for SPL competitors and bass heads that is going to be unlike anything the industry as seen. Basically it is a beefed up version of or spectrum coating, but along with it, we are going to include a couple pounds of our rubber tire strands. These are little bits of rubber that are made from recycled tires. The strands are very small but super strong. According to my rubber vendor, when these strands are added to acrylic coatings the network of interwoven strands that is created will increase both elongation and tensile strength of the material by almost 500%. I got Damplifier Lite for my car as I did not want to spend too much money on sound proofin. I spent too much already for speakers and boxes and cables etc. and it was eather damplifier Lite for me or no product at all. So I ordered from SS and got it pretty fast. So I used it for the first time, it was perfect, not trouble taking the paper off or any problem whatsoever. Ok, to start off. I just installed two 10AQHDC3s in my truck powered by a saz3000d. Im loving how loud and strong the bass is but im having trouble enjoying it really. Im getting lots of rattling and roof flex. I was wondering how many sq. ft. of Damplifier Pro would be needed for my truck. Its an 02 gmc sierra extended cab. I have read through alot of forums and all seem to say SS is by far the best deadener but I have never deadened any vehicle and not sure what I need. Thanks for any and all info. Also how many layers and where.
