  1. Great, now we will have even more dipshits who want to run more than 8k to a sub just because this amp exists. Going to be a bumblefuck and I am sure a lot of these will fail based on people buying them who shouldn't. *by no means am I implying that everyone who runs that much power is a dipshit
  2. Just updated the team site to mirror the SSA homepage. You can now browse between the two and have seemless browsing. You will deff know what site you're on. Just click the product links from the team page and vice versa to see what i'm talking about. http://www.teamssaudio.com/ here's some screen shots...
  3. As soon as you have a 3dB shift in the signal it will be audible and perhaps memorable.

Depends on your space you have available for the enclosure, and your goals. Based off of our suggestions, if you go with a trio of 10's for example, right aroud 3 to 3.5 cubes tuned in the 32hz range would be a great start if you went ported. If 12's, then 6 cubes would be great ported. x2, that is how you choose what subs and how many subs you want to run. The best thing to do is go measure your max dimenisons (height x width x length) and figure out your maximum cubic feet you have available before displacement (subs, port and bracing).
  5. Totally agree! Great CS. Buying from an island in the Caribbeans, I need to be treated like a customer, not like a number. SSA shop is the best !!! Great products, CS, advices...you get everything

You'll be fine. Just use common sense when setting your gain and don't use bass boost/etc.

Gains are there for exactly that reason.
  8. I have the xcons sealed and they are badass. If money is not an issue then it's a no brainer..........xcons.
  9. If budget isnt a problem then I would go Xcons, it gives you some extra thermal handling and the option to upgrade in the future if need be. Depends on budget, Xcons are superior to Icons (Icons are great subwoofers as well and both will be optimal in your application).
  10. It just get's better and better everytime! love the new look
  11. Seal it with Titebond, MDF is porous and Titebond will actually penetrate the wood. Not just bond the surface.
  12. x2, any amp will be fine with speakers since there is no such thing as underpowering.
  13. OK I will save up but with the BL what options should I consider or leave it stock? I want 2 speakers All the options are explained in the Fi Car Audio section under Fi Techinical then BL Enclosure Recommendations. They explain what each option is and what type of a setup it is useful in. This will help explain the BL completely and even give you the box sizes that they have tested and found to be optimal.
  14. the Q is not for you. take everyones advice and look for a different sub that is not made for SQ. if you want it to be a Fi sub then save up and get the BL. Dont regret making a decision just because you dont have a little patience to save up.
  15. If you can buy an Xcon you can save up and buy a drill (or borrow one), lowe's or Home Depot can make all the cuts for you except the sub hole which once again you'll need to beg borrow or steal a jigsaw (both very common tools) What you're doing is the equivalent of someone running 80 octane gas through a 500hp turbo engine going look how funny that knock retard is, or since you're interested in computers it's like someone building a gaming system but not actually attaching the motherboard to the case, then bitching when the thing shorts out because he didn't have the proper $20 tool to finish the install on his $1k computer. You don't pay a toothless hooker for a handjob, if you run track you wear the right god damn shoes, if you're muslim you don't pray to mecca on a trash bag....if you do something you do it right and take some pride in what you do and people will give you respect because you've earned it. But, if you're a typical kid who wants to throw away his money and then not give his product any respect then he can't expect respect from someone else. How happy would you have been with your Xcon if the people that built it took as much pride in their work as you do?
  16. I seen that trick around here and will be doing the expanding foam in can. I am planing on about 6" thick, should be good and hold my rear deck solid nicely too. Correct. If you are using expanding foam I wouldn't bother with sound deadening in the trunk.
  17. I have mines wired into the radio's wires since I customized my dash kit and fit it into the pocket under the radio. I suggest you use your radio's wiring since you will probably have that voltmeter somewher up close to the dash so it can be read easier
  18. definately definately.. the wire is packed too.. it's not just all insulator.. quality stuff.. but head on down to radio shack.. got mine there only $20.. already tested my voltage and was just about to post results.. and some more pics eventually.. but i need that sub and then i can really have fun do you have a voltmeter by any chance? yeah i have an audiocontrol epic-160 that has a voltmeter on it, right under the radio
  19. great products in a wiring kit, i got to get my hands on a multimeter asap. Im mad you beat me to punch, have fun installing
  20. good start and keep us posted
  21. i like the sundown i had the rf 1500 and it seemed like it centered its output around like 40hz. i had it powering 3 10w3s it didnt sound to good. i switched to a jl 1000/1 and it was like i had a whole different setup in there. now i use sundown and im done changin amps Sounds like a box, tuning issue or you were using bass boost if it centered in that frequency (it wasnt the amp). no it wasnt a box or tuning or bass boost issue....the boost was never used and the jl amp and the sundown made the subs rock acrossed all frequencys the rockford didnt and it was at 1.33ohms so it was gettin the power
