Buying anything but welding cable is throwing money away. The Knu, Kicker, stinger and others are great but overpriced when compaired to the same cable with a different jacket that may be slightly less flexible. I only install my cables once so how flexible the jacket is isn't a huge selling point for me. I look for a RCA cable that fits snug and feels like it has sone quality to it. A $50 RCA sounds the same as a $5 RCA. Again, just trying to save you a little cash. Hope this helps someone.

I see your running XCON's ported, how do they sound with rock or metal? Do you like having your subs punch you in the chest? Lol, they are unbelievable on rock and metal. It depends on the song though, some songs are ridiculously awesome while others are lacking because my system isn't really focused on rock. I find that a lot of rock songs do not have the lower frequencies recorded loud enough, but that might just be the ones I listen to. I think if you were heading in that route you'd probably want a slightly higher tuning like 33-35 than what I have. This will probably help on rock in most cases, though a lot of it has to do with the dynamics of a particular vehicle. I hope you enjoy your XCON!
  7. 2 of these: http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-875 ::Just merged the last post into your other thread with the SAME TITLE, stop being an asshat:: Read the rules in my sig.
  8. This is how they will be placed in the box, i like the tilted look. Nice black finish on the ass And what's left of the living room haha

ALSO... present today in the mail::::: REALLLLLLY sux i have nothing to power it with right now.
  11. pics as promised! rear fill. (alpine 5x7 Type R's) front stage. (Bravox cf components 6.5") amp for all speakers. (BOSS audio. Zed built rev-665) Head Unit (Kenwood HD545U) HU installed!!! what do you guys think?
  12. Ascendant audio. They dont just look great, they perform as well. If you're looking for some mids def. look into them. Here is a topic i made about them. There is a link to a dealer on here to find which dealer is closest to you and to get more info if you want on them.
  13. That is the solution to your problem. Simply turn the level down on the 15 or get a driver with less output. Why spend more money on the rest? His replies arent negative at all, stop looking for emotion/attitude in a post and look at the useful information in the post. Which is dont use rears at the end of the day, thats all you should of took from his post. Some people rather sugar coat and hold your hand when answering questions and others dont, straight up that simple. OP a rear fill will not be needed in a car as long as your front stage is set up properly, even if you do have people in the back seat. Some people like surround sound or do a rear fill as a personal preferenece, if you desire to do that then look at some coaxials and run them off of hu power. But honestly a nice set of components up front and a good amount of power should be good enough. What is your budget on amplifier and speakers? M5 does contribute but he isn't going to give the answer straight away he wants you to research first.Like someone said: "if you gave the man a fish he won't be hungry for 1 day, if you learn him how to fish he will never be hungry anymore" that's how M5 answers. ;)I like some JBL components, and hertz has great components, no need for rears but you should buy a amp for the speakers. These are great posts. It's amazing the time and energy people will waste bickering and complaining about Sean and his responses, but they won't spend that time doing research or actually learning for themselves. I guess that's the way of the world now. Nobody wants to work to earn something, but they'll put in work when they don't get what they feel they are deserved. Someday you will mature and come to understand some of life's more subliminal teachings.

  15. Fanbois? OP: Everything advised to you here is good advice. Ultimately a selection will have to be made by you. Good luck!
