  1. I think the hype of watching Fi you tube vids has finally caught up with the masses. Seeing people put up HUGE numbers throwing shit loads of power on subs has everyone thinking it's soooooooo easy to do. Buy a big expensive amp and a Fi sub and you are magically are the loudest in town. Nope. That takes a lot more effort, knowledge, and testing than just lots money to waste to make that happen. So..... they crank on the amp gain because they are disappointed they didn't break the doors off their car like they saw on that video. Why? Because that's the only thing they have the knowledge of to make things louder. Buyers expectations are just too high. OP this is not directed at you at all. Just saying. Play around with your settings and dial it in. I am sure you will get it where you like it after some time playing around with it.
  2. Ok, i thought the same thing, before NDM answered again... Are you serious? How did you get that out of this thread? Read above, what NDM wrote. That is why i was doubting. It's just writting in a weird way.(imo) No dude..it's called a statement...and you are reading waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far into it. I do not like green eggs and ham...does that mean green eggs and ham is bad? No. Sam I am loved it. I however, do not like green eggs and ham. I like blue eggs and ham. get it?

If the battery you have now is good, why replace it? I would focus on a HO alternator first and use the battery you have. The reason I recommend this is a battery is a storage tank and the alternator is what makes the power. A QUALITY 200 amp alternator will produce all the power you need with ease and the battery will reinforce it. If you put a bigger or multible batterys only, your 80 amp alternator will be staining just to keep the battery charged, the power has to come from somewhere. I have a blazer with a 200 amp alt and a single battery, I can unhook the battery and run the Warn 9000# winch with no load and the voltage stays steady. NOW to the other extreme, my Honda has two XS Power batterys, and my 250 amp alt just broke forcing me to reinstall the factory alt. SO with ONLY the factory alt and TWO XS batterys, I have voltage drop even at moderate volumes. The math alone proves the point, but personal experience confirms the facts. You can buy a cigarette plug voltage meter at walmart if you don't want to install a permanent voltage meter.
  4. There is only one way to ruin a sub like that, too much power. I would be very surprised if they cover any of that, those types of failures are only user error.
  5. Wood thickness is by far one of the most important things when creating a system. Like they said up there, the thicker the more durable, the less flex you have. Also, bracing is a must!
  6. Take the money that you would have spent on a new amp and upgrade your electrical. At the very least you're going to want battery upgrades.
  7. Any update on this? If it's not going to be covered or anything I'd like to go ahead and pay and get it shipped out.... I'm having to push everything back now since my equipment failure. Thanks!
  8. So u mean they are supposed to make weird noises above 60-70 hz? :s I don't think there that problem occured on the older btl's... But i don't know for sure. OP: CAn you make a video?
  9. Is this another new N2 with a fried coil? Sure does look like it.
