2012 Philadelphia Auto and DUB show

2 pointsThe Mach5 mids and the LPG's will not play nice together. You will have a huge gap in the frequency response that no aftermarket crossover can help. If you already have them they can be a bandaid install but it is far from ideal. Personally depending on your mounting locations I'd sell one or the other and match them with something more appropriate. That will also make the crossover choice easier as you won't have to use overly steep slopes to try and shorten the lack of "mid" between those drivers.2 points- 2012 Philadelphia Auto and DUB show

1 pointAgain... these are all sold and accounted for. Watch out for next pre-order soon. Should be much faster this time as our rectifiers are in stock now. We'll be testing them and shipping next week.1 point- SSA, now over 20,000 members strong and growing
Just wanted to thank everyone for signing up and helping our "little" site grow and grow.1 point- PDX M12 - 1200w RMS for ICON or XCON
If you ask me my Xcon sounded better on lower wattage. It didnt have as much authority but the bass was so much cleaner and more accurate. With that set up I had 1200 rms available but I turned the gains down some so it blended well with my front stage. Its a extemely nice woofer for many applications1 point- Welcome to the IHoP

1 point1 point- PDX M12 - 1200w RMS for ICON or XCON
I'm running 2 xcons on about 500rms each and they sound amazing. Think of it like a sports car. Say it can go 180 mph. Just because it can go that fast doesnt mean you HAVE to go that fast all the time. Driving around at 50 mph won't hurt it one bit1 point- Welcome to the IHoP

1 point- with this budget...
1 pointI love my crescendo but for matching amps I'd go with the sundown. I'm about to do the same with the crescendo 1100.41 point- ZCON 15 enclosure build log
1 pointFrom your experience with this subwoofer what do you think would be an optimal enclosure? BTW I like aeros. If I were to do it all over I'd shoot for 4-4.5 net with 60-75 square inches of port area tuned to ~33. I notice a BIG difference between a 33hz tuning and a 36hz tuning in my car. Every setup will differ from one vehicle to another, but that is what I'd do in my car if I had 2000 RMS on tap.1 point- Equalizing front stage

1 pointThe problem with most of these units is the user has really no idea what to do. You need to understand what you are trying to accomplish and how to go about it properly before doing it. If you are asking on the forum, you shouldn't be. You should be reading information, then working towards the goal, then asking for help if lost. It also helps to not be broke. If you want to do something, do it right. If you can't afford to do it properly, wait until you can. If you are unemployed, quit looking at buying audio equipment.1 point- Death Penalty TS?
1 pointMost of the time our t/s parameters will give you the wrong box in box building software....please follow our recommended box sizes if you want your system to perform properly. If you need help or don't understand something, either call nick @ 256-417-6658 or email me [email protected] and we would be glad to help you! Thanks!1 point- Welcome to the IHoP

1 pointJared, I got married in St. Lucia earlier this year. It was a beautiful place with lots of things to do. The people there speak English well. I never felt uncomfortable walking around their big city, Castries. If you would like more info I can get you some. On the mobile site right now.1 point- Why not to buy PSI

0 pointsHis question could of been answered two or three pages ago if people weren't trying to be know it alls who act like they couldnt help. Yes you can use one of those Kicker kx3, you wont have full active capabilities such as different slopes/time alignment or etc. It will let you get by till you can get the appropriate processor or headunit.0 points- processors
0 pointsA cross over you dick. You'll get no help from me, with an attitude like that. The orginal question was simple. Dont answer a question with a question. There is a reason I asked that question. In order to answer your question accurately, you needed to answer, not get defensive.0 points- processors
0 pointsCan we please start this topic or something? Also, the views of the forum moderators have nothing to do with the SSA store, because apparently there was some confusion about that.0 points- processors

0 points- Dcon popping noise.
0 points1. Way to much power 2. tinsel lead slap Well we have the gain set to 1/4 the way up. And what can I do to get rid of the lead slap? Gain position is never relative to power out put. I.E. the gain my my DD m3a really IS all the way down, and I still get full power.0 points- processors
0 pointsI ask a question to get help and there are nothing but negative remarks, your moderators arent know it alls. Perhaps if there was a question asked we would have answered. Read the first post! You've changed your mind many times since then, we'd love to help, but you insist on not listening.0 points- processors

0 pointsAaron just because I am umemployed right know doesnt give Tirefyre the right to say I am broke. Ill give him a spanking later, don't worry.0 points- processors
0 pointsWhat exact speakers are you using? Depending on the crossover points that kx3 wont work. You can't adjust the slope, and your going to be running back and forth tweaking the settings and listening. This makes things a lot more difficult. T/A and an eq would also be nice to have.0 points- processors
