We are getting closer and closer to the new GCON 750W RMS Series Driver. We have been referring to this driver up until now as the FCON as we were unsure what to call it officially. We are going with GCON, becuase it's hits the "spot". Here is a sneak peak at the motor. Sorry for the crappy cell phone shot, but this is all we are releasing at this time. Please don't ask for more, they will come when we can get the professional photos done.

hey guys, i just got back from seeing van halen play in indinapolis (right across the street from where this years slamology 2012 is being held) and it was awesome.. got to see a 10min. guitar solo from eddie van halen himself:) anyways i shot a few pics and vids to share with u guys. our seats were way up in peanut heaven ($40/ticket) so pics arent that great... Panama: Van Halens newest single, Tattoo: my phone is being gay right now and is being slow at uploading the last video... ill have it up tomorrow morning....

I installed a setup with a 10' Dcon on a 300 watt kicker amp in a box tuned to 30 hz. It "dug" the lowes quite nicely. My vote is either the Dcon or the OA.

Is there a setup menu that allows you turn on the "subwoofer?"

I love that ppl act MC Hammer rich when they get a tax return check. Thank god buyers remorse doesn't work with tattoo's bc you aren't returning them the next week when you realize you have bills to pay.

I have 2 pairs of SkullCandys. A pair of ear buds and a on ear pair. I think they are great but then again I've never heard any beats by dre or anything like that. Can't compare them to much but they are at least 10 times better than apple ear buds. What? They will come in D4 and D2 Coils. Side note, the D4 models will be sold first, as we are awaiting the D2 coils still. By the time production starts, these could be in though...

If I understand your wording, the Gcon slots between the Dcon and Icon. No driver is better then the other, it is what fits the install goals the best.

Whoever wrote that the E series doesn't handle the lows is full of shit. They actually shine on the lows in a properly designed and build ported enclosure. Actually all the choices you have listed are all good drivers. It just comes down to installation. My choice is is the DCON. I love my 10" and it has amazing sq.

You don't need near the driver's rms power to "properly" power it. That being said, I wouldn't throw the OA-15 because of that. As far as the driver, can't help you there. Don't consider one's comparison fair, and certainly not a "fact." Looks don't mean much. You could download WinISD, and model all the drivers in various enclosure alignments, of course people will argue this is worthless since the frequency response changes from open space to a vehicle, but I believe it still gives a good baseline. Certainly better then taking one's word for it: "This subwoofer pounds the lows." The enclosure alignment and it's quality will play a huge factor. With that being said, you could put a zcon in a terrible enclosure, and it could sound like shit and be quiet. Therefore zcons sound like shit and aren't loud?

Just think- your electrical system may be good but the lack of inputs on the outside and potential lower conductivity on the inside based on how they do things externally.. stetsom amps will have greater potential to have a loss of voltage vs any other amp. So the user must double up on everything to be "safe."

Well team, I got a hell of a hook up on some DD equipment that was just to good to pass up The Burban has a little bang in it now but is far from finished. Current equipment/setup is as follows: Singer 275a alt, run of 4/0 + & -, 2 Stinger SPV70's, 4-DD 3518's, DD M3a, DD CXS 6.5, DD CS 6.5, DD SS4a, & finally a Kenwood X-794 for now. The HU I have at the moment is being borrowed from a friend & member (Casey/casedawg ) until I decide on what unit to go with next. My 794 had the RCA outputs go bad and it was introducing a HUGE amount of noise into the system The future upgrades will include a different HU, another Singer 275a alt , M3a , maybe another set of comps in the kicks, & possibly some more batts. The windows have been tinted nice and dark to keep prying eyes from looking in The tire & wheel combo (Cragar soft 8' on Falken Rocky Mtn 31x10.5x15) has been ordered & will be next on the lengthy to do list. Don't know what it's gonna do on the meter but I'm not putting this build together for anything other than to rep IAK and enjoy myself. Thanks for the support from everyone!! On a side note.....anyone have experience with the media player HU's? My CD player skips like hell if I give any volume now I'm kind of interested in the new Pioneer DEH-80PRS but not sure on a release date at the moment. I really don't want to get the imprint for the Alpine to have access to crossover capabilities

You will get the same quality sound from each driver. Think of the icon as a v6 mustang and the xcon as a v8. Basically the same machine however the xcon will provide more output being it has more motor force and xmax, but like the v8 it'll take a little more gas (power) to get the extra output.
