  1. I wouldn't waste money on a pre-fabbed box that comes from a mass produced supplier. The specs are always questionable and always seem to be tuned higher than they advertise IF they even specify it. The best thing to do would be to hit up DC Creations, Triple R Performance, or another reputable box builder and get the box built right. It's a little more expensive but worth it in the long run.
  2. anyone want to see some GCON photos?!?!
  3. man buddy that is very impressive! I'm not looking to be better than anyone. I just want that known. I do however want to be the best i can and to be challenged. These zcons have shattered every goal I've set. Nic, I think you have set the bar very high! Congrats my man.
  4. 2 world records, 2 bass boxing world champions. Nic Watts lightweight and Zach Metts super lightweight champions. Both broke their own world records with SSA Zcon 15" subs. Awesome showing from the Geo, Jose in the Explorer and Justin in the demo'ing beast Blazer. Outstanding work by all our competitors. If you have not seen the pictures on Facebook or twitter, we will be posting loads soon.
  5. yes it was a sad day letting go of my zcon 15...... but look what i got. it makes it all better
  6. in a 4th order they will handle rediculas power . ported im sure will be a little less depending on tunning and length of full tilt play time . they are moving pretty good on 4300 clamped ea . id like to get it up to about 5k clamped and see what happens. also it will be hard to get as much power from a ported incloser . ported in your car is your best bet though. all the angles are not good for a 4th order. I wanna get 4 7.5s =-) or 2 12ks. my impedence rise is under 2 ohms so dropping the load wont work. id really like to touch a 160 before i change set up.
  7. old box they came in.. arent they beautiful? lol in the new box that was in my video..
  8. Here is the first "little" enclosure. All done, ready for finishing...
  9. Ok, here is an update on the enclosures... Dylan got the designs over to me. I decided to to a single sub set up for daily and a dual sub set up for shows... The dual sub set up with have both of my MTX TE4KDs on them. So 8k RMS for the pair, and when I am running a single sub, I will knock that down to one amp @ 4k RMS. Here are the designs.... (I have already started building ) on a side note, these enclosures are a bit on the small side. With the single enclosure, I am looking to reclaim half of my truck space for "family room" when we do the groceries or stroller etc...
  10. If the enclosure is constructed well and meets the driver's specifications I see nothing wrong with it.
  11. thats all the pics i got for right now sorry not in order or anythign right now but u get the point planning on doing a hiden system when its all done and set up the way i want it. any questions let me know. ill be painting her this weekend island teal. i will not have any crome on my car so everything crome will be powder coated or paint. no badges or anything is on the car everything is deleted but the door handles. going for a very clean look and such.
  12. Damn. Now this is my kinda build. I like audio, but this is my true love. I'm very exited to see this progress.
  13. A few things. I wouldn't do a box that large with higher power woofers, they don't like it to much. Biggest thing, your port area. I'd go WAY up with it, to about 16^2-20^2 of port per cube. I would do 7^3 of air space with 20^2 per cube tuned to about 38Hz since you will be on the lower end of RMS on big woofers. And the large port area will allow the woofer to still drop low, while maintaining high output.
  14. JB weld that bitch. I had a basket cracked pretty bad but the soft parts were fine so I JB welded it and clamped it and the current owner hasn't bitched about it yet. I also hung the basket by the broken section for a few days to make sure it wouldn't break. JB weld is some awesome stuff.
  15. Lantz, i say you recone them yourself. It seems to me that your gonna keep this hobby for a while so you might as well learn now.
  16. Properly set gains and the right box it wont be an issue.

  18. one 12 4th order ,or one 15 ported would work awsome. 4cu/ft internal with double layer box.

This is a good trick for Michigan, I use to live in Detroit where they would make you scrape it off on the side of the road. I have always rolled all 4 of my windows down when I get pulled over. I had some cops ask me why I did it and they would be like you hiding the illegal tint? I would always tell them that i rolled them down to make them feel safer. I was always thanked for doing so and got off easy from a lot of tickets and they really only enforce the tint due to their safety when they approach the car. I do the same thing here in Las Vegas and still have my 5% all around even with a windshield tint that is totally illegal. I swear a lil respect goes a long way with a lot of cops.
