Peerless SLS 8 $130/pr Aura NS3 $25/pr Dayton ND20 $30/pr 2 miniDSP $234 (with plug ins, isolator and volume knob) Total: $419 + shipping leaving you $80 for a Line Driver so you don't even need a headunit anymore. Okay, you still need to buy more amp channels, but the $80 goes a long ways in doing that. And yes, this has the potential to seriously make that HiVi set sound like its from Kmart.

Sounds pretty sweet. Nah the afterburner is stupid annoyingly loud. I live with big jets flying over constantly and they're not even that loud. Oh I'm sure it's loud, I just figured it sounded pretty awesome--at least for a few minutes for those of us that aren't near jets all day long.

Passive and three way in general is a mess. Of course the exception being if you place the drivers all on one baffle, but then the use of a 2" midrange is idiotic. Personally I don't like the cross points, the crossover, and the lie in marketing (German crafted midrange with a chinese sticker on the back of it, lol). The Lpad integration alone is scary, I can't imagine what other wonders are hiding under that plastic case. Add to that the use of "marketing" materials in the design and it's of dubious quality at best. The added cost of Kevlar here with no added benefit makes no sense. Of course it worked in that it made you guys say the look "good" or "nice". I've also never heard a HiVi tweeter I want to hear again. Not a good thing IMO. I do understand their goals though. The only HiVi driver I've heard that was enjoyable was their 2" mid. Changing that design to shrink it and then apply it to use in something is a great idea. This just isn't how I'd implement it at all.

The only people who should try to use 10" or 12" midbass are seriously advanced pros with lots of processing equipment. My advice is for you to buy a pair of good component 6 1/2" speakers, the SSA store sells them, for the front and power them with 2 of the audiopipe's 4 channels. Use 2 more channels to power a set of coaxles in the rear (whichever sounds "best" to you). Stick with the Sundown sub in a box recommended by the manufacturer powered by one of the hifonics amps and get rid of the rest. Based on your questions, you are too new in the hobby to make all those speakers sound good together.

If you were take the time to look in the exact same sub-section (sundown) you will clearly see the first sticky about the different sa-8 versions and what you can and can't do between the different models. That's too easy I guess??????? What?

I've never had any personal experience with it, but I'd love to. May have found a new set of speakers to play with.

from my experience no it will not be enough, and or. it would not be enough for me rather. ill tell you a little bit about why i say so. i had a 200 amp H/o and 2 yellow tops in the rear and 1 under the hood. all 0 gauge with big three, with a saz 3000D on 2 15 inch BLs,@1 ohm,. i suffered low voltage, my amp would run hot, i would blow breakers and i cooked a few alternators, i added, 1 more cell to the rear and it helped. but was still not where i wanted to be.... i ended up with 4 optimas in the rear, and 1 under the hood along with a 200 amp h/o to be able to run cool and stay with decent voltage. @1 ohm. i never ran below. lastly,. i can not for the life of me figure out how you plan to run run dual 2s at 1 ohm daily and comps ay .5 unless your going to run 1 sub daily.

That would work rather well, but in all honesty I would utilize a slot port in your application if you have the space. You can adjust port area and volume a bit to help make the enclosure more efficient. This would help with getting more with less in a since. If you are limited on space and/or plan to upgrade power, I would slim the enclosure down a tad.

Asserting that kids today are pussies and not tough enough for life is one thing.... flat out saying that it is a positive thing to teach kids to retaliate by escalating situations is just such a horrible concept to me it makes me a little fucking sick honestly.

If your looking for 4k clamped I would not choose a 3.5k amp. Manufactures ratings and real world power are two different things. Sure someone has probably squeezed 4k out of a smaller amp but not at a daily ohm load.

When I was selling my XCON 10 I drove an hour and a half to meet a guy and he wouldn't buy my d2 because it read 1.4ish. He said that his amp was only one ohm stable and .7 was too low. Needless to say I was very irritated on the drive home.

Because I ran a Q 15 and loved it, then stepped up to two Q 18's and loved those aswell. Even the day I ordered the Q's I wish I had stepped up and bought the SP4's. So I quickly sold those and bought what I wanted. With the 4in vc, low fs, high Xmax and big power handling I knew this is what I wanted. The Sp4's sound just as good as the Q line but doing in a MUCH stronger fashion. These subs are low end monsters and that was my goal. My truck does the same db at 28hz as it does at 40hz and will peak around 34, all within a 1db range
