  1. Zcons will officially be gone today. All boxed up and awaiting UPS later today. * turns the page to start the next chapter *
  2. No one wants to PM another person concerning something you said.
  3. I didn't know Crunch made subwoofers, I thought they only made amps.
  4. Crunch time.... I has tracking numbers.

Sometimes my sundown amps get dust, but I never let them get dirty.
  6. I've been using my pair of 12" Q's for about two years or so now. I've also ordered other subs from Fi for myself and friends during that time. I'm proud to report that they're all still performing just as great as they did from new and they have all exceeded expectations as well. My Q's have been one of my best audio investments to date. I'm more than thrilled with the quality of the sound they reproduce and how much output they're giving. After two years of beating on them, and believe me my wife does one hell of a job putting them through the paces, they're still just as tight and as accurate as the first time I listened to them. I helped a friend buy a pair of the X series 10's (will be back on the website soon I hope) which he threw in a prefabbed enclosure (we did do a little work to retune it) and he still can't get over their performance. They get very loud on a Sundown 100.2 bridged on them and sound amazing while doing so. He turns a lot of heads with them and consistently gets compliments on them from people he shows them off to. He often times gets told that there's no way they're just a pair of 10's on 400watts of power. The only thing I can fault Fi with is that lately their customer service has been pretty lax. They're busy and that has to be factored in. I would much rather them be working on building my sub than spending all day on the computer answering emails, but it seems like there's been a few balls dropped here lately that are closer to the core and being busy just isn't a great excuse for that. I'm a patient person and I know there's no problem with getting what I order, so it's not a problem for me. Some people on the other hand can't stand not having the communication there. I agree with the earlier comment, if you're not an especially patient person then you might well consider finding another brand to go with, but if you have patience and can understand the virtue in waiting for a fantastic product then I don't think there's many choices out there that can beat them. That's just my .02 EDIT: I need to add that Fi OEM's products as well and Ascendant Audio is the in store brand they have. Both the OEMed and Ascendant products are just as well built and have the same kind of outstanding legacy of performance. I didn't suggest any of these tho due to you asking about Fi directly and that the wait is similar on some of those items as well.
  7. The new amps. The 4 channel is huge!
  8. I sold my 18's to my friend to Don... and this is what he did with them.... It did a 47.7 in KAOS which is a 3 min run in the center of the dash. The enclosure is some thick ass PVC with MDF plugs and aeroports. Sadly besides myself and him we were the only ones to run SSA.
  9. Did you tune yourself in with a DD-1? Because if you didn't, you're not gonna get the full jist of info that is about to be epicly spilled out here.
  10. Happy Halloween SSA!
  11. Happy Halloween to you guys!
  12. I would wait for them to be 100% broken in. My peak dropped from 55hz to 38hz within a few weeks and I actually got louder on the meter.
  13. Well with no real testing just hooking up the Meter and putting in a song I felt was loud. Results (meter on Dash pass door open, same numbers in kick too) 155.3 on music around 39hz if I remember right. song called "Burr Burr" by Gucci Playing around with tones with low batteries. 155@44hz 154.75@39hz 153.5@35hz 152.10 @30hz 152 @29hz on a Phil Collins song "In the air tonight" With only the single amp and with some voltage drop (deep down into low 12's)) I am very happy. With a second 5500 and another 4 batteries 57's on music may be attainable. Remember I am tuned at 31hz
  14. Broadway pizza on broadway? Yup. Being of NYC/Philly decent, I don't do deep dish, I do NY style pizza.
  15. gotta get you some buss bars where you can, it helped me in burps hard to say with street beats, looks like you have tons of room meow ,very nice, nicos lookin good!
  16. Having glasses on, even thin framed small glasses kept a "barrier" of slower moving air around my eyes. They get dry way less, less stuff gets in them. I miss that part of it all.
  17. Speaking of.... J I like the naturals and the ghurkas. They are good for a quick cigar on the way home from the bar or after a big meal. The big 6x60s I have grown to love from cain take an hour or 2. Not convenient and I just don't like to relight one that is hours cold. I sometimes will cut the end off while hot if I really need to and it is most of a stick left. I gave my buddy a big 8+ inch tripple diamond for his bday. He flipped for it.

Good stuff Budah... I'm surprised no one told you that the punishment for ignoring advice on this forum was to sit on the lap of this guy in his car:
  19. nahhh she doesn't care, but i often get the " You don't even need all of that" and I go "You don't need that 700$ purse you hardly carry shit in"
  20. I have never used SDS, but I've used every other deadener available. IMO, Don has revolutionized the industry. How many others have the done the research and product development Don has? None. How many have posted this information on their website and been so giving on the forums? None. How many have been happy to sell you less product to do the same job? None. As I see it, the only man in the industry who truly knows how to properly treat an automobile it Don. The "experts" at Dynamat can't tell you half of what Don knows and they are supposed to be the standard for all others. Second Skin, while good, and I don't know the new owners, but if they only know what Ant knew, well. . . . I have yet to see anything different from that changeover that would sway me their way. Plain and simple, Don is the man.
  21. When you pawn/sell spare equptment for new audio equiptment. You drive less to buy more. You eat out less to buy more. You pawn/sell spare equiptment to make next months payment on w/e. You refuse to step foot into a local audio shop You know the difference between Class A, B, A/B, and D amplifiers and know why there is no such thing as true B-Class amplifiers for most audio reproduction. You measure Impeadance Curve just because You build enclosures just because you have an old driver you want to play with. You Buy MDF just incase. You have a stash of wood screws just incase. You have enough 1/4 full bottles of wood glue lying around to make 10 full bottles. You have Glue/Chaulk/Bondo/Paint/Primer/Stain somewhere on your hands almost 365 days a year. You use that as an excuse to not shake hands with people you dont like. You sit around making this up because you dont have an audio project to be working on at the moment. Your installs for your buddies are reguarded as higher quality than the installs of the local car audio shop by multiple people, almost a whole high school infact... and you are only 16 and have no formal training what-so-ever.
