It is not using it for excessive build times, it is the margin that remains the limiting factor. If Scott could afford to hire more people, I promise you he would, as his stress level's surpass mine and that is scary. Many of Fi's customers choose them for the made/designed/machined etc. in the USA, along with having some customization.
  2. FI BL hands down any day.. dont skam your self with a skar
  3. Alright the amp is mounted! I need to run the wires to the subs and install a fuse for the amp. The mount is very sturdy.

How many high school girls do you know whom also know thermodynamics, subwoofer manufacturing, etc.?
  5. Funny because every mechanic I know, will tell you the exact opposite. When you can show me some fact, I will believe you.
  6. Diggin it man. Install looks very nice. I love how your trunk is fully functional. Do you want to do some fabrication work for me?
  7. buy HID kit and ur lights wont dim at all
  8. I personally would look at a SSA Xcon.
  9. What we can take away from that is you are just as biased for Skar as others are against him, so your opinion shouldn't count for anything either.
  10. It will save you the trouble of the math if you just go buy another battery. I understand you may have heard a stock bat and alt can power 2 12's but. that also depends on the amp size not the size of the driver. yes a good ground can help but it wont do much. if you were to get another battery and run +/+ and Ground to ground youd be in parallel. making it still a 12v system but maybe uping your voltage rating to like 13.2 or so. depending on the amperage of the front battery aswell. basically what we all are trying to tell you is it is going to be a lot less hassle to just get another battery or alternator. whichever your poison. batteries are gonna be cheeper though. most of the time a car is either gonna need 1 upgraded battery up front and no extras or 2 batteries with a stock alternator. i ran 1000w on 1 55ah battery and stock 130a alternator. what a lot of people cant grasp is that your battery is just a reserve that lets your car be able to start and also work without running. like a normal battery. Your alternator is what runs EVERYTHING. having 2 batteries would be like having 1 big reserve yes it will help with the dimming effect but your alt is still gonna run everything your car doesn't just run off the battery(s) that are in it.

Any idiot can answer a phone and respond certain information to customers. I didn't say she needed to help them build the damn things. Do you have any idea how many emails/phone calls they get a day? Do you guys realize that if they rush your build times or rush your order, the quality that fi is known for will be compromised? Do you guys really want fi to hire some more people, I want my expensive subs built by the best guy at the shop, not some guy they hired and trained quickly for more production. With spring coming, Isn't this the busiest time of the year for "fi kind of companies"? How much more pissed would you guys be if fi stopped taking orders so they could catch up on their workload? And the guy who ordered the glue..... maybe they don't do the easy orders right away but go off a list of who ordered first and focus on them, even if it is a $4,000 sub order. poor fi, its tough being so popular my only question with them is, i see alot of "i just burnt up my new fi subs threads" could all these threads really be user error? Everyone is well aware of what they do, all their "issues," and why they have them. The fact of the matter is, there is NO excuse to lack customer service. You can spin it any way you like, attempt to make people understand, or make up and excuse, but there just is nothing acceptable for this lack of attention, short of someone being on their death bed. As for the drivers burning up, just think about how many thousands of drivers that work flawlessly that you NEVER hear about. Anytime something is burnt up it is 99.99999% user error, or an amplifier problem that took out the driver as well.
  12. ooks like I have to tune tune-up on 2 bikes that sat outside over winter. And they start off with crappy components
  13. There are a lot of others brands. Take a look at ...the SSA subs, for example !
  14. Phatboi you will find on almost any forums people dont trust skar and kevin. The only places you wont is his dealer forums on other websites because people like getting paid. Whereas here on ssa they leave stuff up so kevin can try to justify to people to buy his products. Its a shame that he ignores this oppertunity and instead tries to hide behind all his nuthuggers. Granted if I was given free gear id prolly swing for a little bit too. You say past dealings....well hes always been shady. From not knowing what his gear is actually capable of to not even knowing specs. To having people make fake accounts to post positive reviews since no one wanted to. Fi bl all the way. Its worth the wait. And if its too long for you im sure there are tons of better options than skarbage

Get well soon Fi Car Audio. We all miss the good ol' days.... Wait?... It's always been like this. Built to order, one order at a time, first come first serve. So, if they got ten orders for subs and yours is under them all, well poop, you're just gonna have to wait. From my understanding the glue and recones is something they offer as a convenience to customers that isn't a profit center for Fi Car Audio. So buying glue isn't really supporting the cause and even less so when you start a thread to bitch about it. :/ What can I say? If you need glue quickly, I suggest eBay.

It's very hard to see the ones you love the most in pain. You have my prayers. I hope everything goes well and she recovers as best as possible!
  17. FI all day everyday even if it is going to take a while.
  18. Don't laugh to hard at my engineering The tape I used left behind some glue, so I'm going to repaint it
  19. i was chrushed when they stopped making the town car... but it looks like there is a concept that may make it.. god i hope so. yes please!!!
  20. Not all stock batteries are created equal. 1 vehicle could have 900 CCA And another could have a 400 cca. just making a point but you see where I'm getting at? you also understand that your amplifier is pulling roughly 100 amps and your alternator is only 90 amps. do you see how the math does not work out?

I vote Fi hault all non-contracted business for a period long enough to evaluate their business position and change what can be changed so the conclusion is what customers are looking for. I believe we've all had to do this in life before on things and the only way to truly fix the problem is just to step back and start over. When we get in a groove, no matter how much chaos is caused, we still think we can control it. I'm speaking from my experience and it's night and day when you just drop what you are doing and leave. Come back with new eyes.
  23. cant wait to see it in the car!
  24. It takes power to make power, and lots of people just don't understand this fact.
  25. Glassed the corner in. Mocked in the front baffle. Mocked in the baffle and port. Brackets set in. Layed a few more layers on the door panels. Would have gotten more pics but I was covered in reain all day.
  26. Mine has 160k on stock injectors. Mine has also been chipped since 10k miles. But I do run Deisel clean in every tank, dropped a ton of money on it last year but its all good. My truck is a beast and love it. When my injectors go then I will drop bigger ones in and also a bigger turbo. Gotta pay to play...

  28. Save a few more bucks and go to Sears and get the largest physical sized MARINE platinum battery that will fit in your factory location. When you factor in shipping and any problems that might arise causing you to have to exchange a battery, and warrantee there batteries can't be beat. Just make sure it is a MARINE battery. It is there deep cycle batteries and they look exactly like the other platinum batteries however they have a "M" in their model numbers. And if they ask tell them the battery is going in a boat so they don't give you any shit about it being used in a "system"

We wish mama chop the best. Ive had a similar surgery. They cut out my discs and put spacers in place. I have to tell you she will for sure feel better when it is done and over. All the pain I had was gone when I woke up in recovery. Of course I was a little sore from the surgery itself but it pales in comparison to the pain before.
