im glad you listened up about the batteries and the alternators. what ohm load do you run those amps at ? that will help figure out the current. but the more runs the better. IMO. the battery reserve you plan to get MAY be enough. but only time will till.. you will have to install everything again and watch your voltage,. if you still have issues then you will need to add battery,. if your shop owner knows so much then why have you failed so much upto this point.. and why are you were asking questions your shop owner "that knows his stuff" should have 1 already installed and 2 should already knoe. why has he not installed a h/o in your car.. why does he having you running 6K on 200 a/hs worth of battery and why in the hell would he let you ride around playing 6k on those speakers daily? they are only good for that much power on burps..... sounds to me like your shop owner doest know shit.

Pulling volume and tuning out of thin air for any driver is not the correct way to design an enclosure. Just because you tune at a certain frequency doesn't mean you are gonna hit the LOOOWWWWSSS

I've never listened to a super tweeter that sounded nice. Were they all in bad installs or what ? I don't know. Don't listen to the youngsters loving the super tweeters and the cheap "pro audio drivers" : it's a matter of references. Did they ever listened to a good home stereo system in their lifes, or only mp3's on shitty headphones ? I'd like to try an active setup someday, but it is much easier (for me) with a passive component set. Good luck OP !

A few updates: car was repainted the factory color and suspension work is done. After paint: After suspension work, the h&r springs claim a 1.3" drop from factory. I can definitely tell the front is lower, the rear end is slightly higher than before because it was sagging when I bought the car. It is an amazing difference. Feels like a Benz again.

The soft parts should fit fine, but you wouldn't be physically changing the motor to a v2.

And until you do that no one can help you. The FT1's are TERRIBLE tweeters. Figures that is what you bought. At least there are enough idiots out there on other forums that think its a good idea to use them so selling shouldn't be that hard.

They both can be used effectively, but not together. No locations & budget, no other recommendations. You know the drill. 99% of the time prefab enclosures are suboptimal. I don't know how much free time you have, but you could build a fiberglass enclosure over the course of a few weekends, and materials would cost around $100-180 If you did go this route than you'd need to be willing to practice glassing before doing the enclosure. See what your local shops would charge to build an enclosure. Perhaps they can make everything out of mdf, and won't cost a "ton."

Have you purchased the deck? If you have 400 to spend after the deck you could do a killer front stage man. Nothing is going to keep up with 6 fifteens, but if you want something that will sound good at moderate sub levels and something that you can still hear at full tilt it is doable for sure.

What are you trying to achieve with your front stage? First off the super tweeters should just be cut from the list. Second you spent all of that money on an awesome deck to throw shit drivers in, that doesn't make sense. Please don't think that I'm trying to be rude but with the money you were going to spend on what you have listed you could do MUCH better and I'm only trying to help. List your budget and your goals and we can go from there. Don't forget deadening either!

Sell all of that, and buy a zed amp. Don't buy an amplifier based on RMS, bad idea.

I only mentioned it is a Chinese product because you referred to it as an American product in your first post. When you order from SSA they send your order information to Sundown. Depending on how busy sundown is, it make take a few days to get tracking info. I would say the SA-12 can handle more power in the right install. I would need to know more about yours. Box specs? Subsonic filter? How did you set your gain?
