  1. They have never, ever, ever answered a question anywhere. Living on smoke & mirrors which is so unlike the past. Sucks too. There was a time in my life where I would have been happy to have another LP amp, but then the current asshattery started and there is no way in hell. The severe lack of education in the responses and complete and utter nonsense is absurd. Nearly to the level of skarbage business ethics. No place for either in the modern world. Both styles of business should have died with the 3 martini lunch.
  2. Crossover won't do ANYTHING for you if you haven't figured out what you want to change. Think about it, even when you get it what do you do? If you have nothing to gain, then no processing can help you gain nothing. As for crossovers. If you are new to using them, a headunit solution is really what you should be looking at. Mounting something in the trunk won't allow you to learn as it is pretty hard to change things in the drivers seat from the trunk.
  3. No rear fill is needed, if you already have the speakers then sell them for more pocket change for the build. This will allow more air flow from the trunk unless you plan on forward firing and sealing the trunk off. Even if so the rears won't be heard over the bass anyway. Why components and Neo-pros, I would say do one or the other. If you do Neo-pros find some nice tweeters or get some under dash horns to mate with them. Just my .02
  4. He can fit more than 4.8 if he builds it in the trunk let alone utilitizing the space below the trunk and to the sides. (I drive a crossfire for the record)
  5. Round ports put out round waves and sound better. Slot ports put out square waves and when they combine with the round waves from the subs, they sound trapezoidal.
  6. Those component sets look damn fine for $75!
  7. Never understood why people want to run a half ohm load for a daily.
  8. And while drivers like that made "sense" in the 90's, today they are just antiquated. Plenty will perform better in WAY less space. There is a reason that drivers have evolved...well most drivers.
  9. 1 point
personality flaw.Lately I've been spending my time with my family and newborn. Also at the gym trying to better myself.
  10. 2-400 watts depending on application... If you abuse them you'll break them, as you would any other speaker. If things are set up properly and you don't abuse them they'll be fine..
  11. ok, i have two q 15's w/ bp power and I was just wandering what the actual power handling of these is with the bp power? I want to power these with an IA 40.1 if not too much and my box is 8.18 cuft. tuned to 27hz. I also have two optima 34/78 yellowtops in the rear and a red top in the front with dual runs of 1/0 to the rear and dual 1/0 will be going into the amp also. thanks
  12. The first generation Z v.2 use a 4-layer aluminum coil -- specs listed below.
