Always need to know max box size before sub shopping, never works out for the positive the other way around
  5. make sure you have the electrical and gains set low before you wire to 1. I don't even have to look at that link to tell you that the box is tuned to mid 40s probably. Set your subsonic to the fs of the sub instead of 25.

I believe we have had two or three customers who were talked into Tantric and shortly thereafter mentioned to us saying they regret selling their SSA subs.
  7. Since the downtown is riddled with tram tracks I had this wacky idea of building a draisine: If I can find wheels it's a go. Imagine the look on people's faces. Try to top this, hipsters As far as I can tell, there are no rules forbidding such a vehicle.
  8. you should watch some of the penn and tell: fool us episodes. live performance is more entertaining than camera tricks, in my opinion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ2ebs9F1ek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFUBK4dFQ4w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJurN3YDdIw
  9. Just wants what's best for you man. And Quentin can do that lol
  10. Afternoon's project. 1.960" OD, .980" tall, M8x1.25 hole .75" deep
  11. I run 2 sa12s and if I could go back in time I would have bought the Fi/ssa product.
  12. Please post pricing and actual photo proof of items.
  13. "Swallowing is not a chore ladies, he made that treat just for you. You take that gift"
  14. Don't know how quick you need one, I'm in Vegas for the week, if you know your preference on tuning and box size I can help you with a design and cut sheet when I get home.
  15. IIRC, when we were playing with them off the old Zapco AG750's, we were leaning fairly small enclosure wise, on average. Why not grab the IA 10.1 while on sale?
  16. Can you post the link to the sub page?

Finally getting some work done. Got the head unit in and door pods mocked up, amp installed, 1/0 guage ran, etc. I will fiberglass the pods tomorrow and start on the box this week. Still trying decide if I want to go seal 1cu or 1.8 ported. anyway

People just can't understand black and white anymore. They need to hear something in person which is understandable. I was at that point in life at one time. Next year will be a different ball game. When I roll up to the 4 or 5 major shows next year with my 90 foot rig and my little demo vehicle and have the select few team DSS vehicles on hand people will be able to see a $300 sub put in work.

    reasonable compared to what?
  20. you going for numbers? if so, team Fi sub would be interesting
  21. My rundown of SSA sub that I have owned or played with. DCON GCON XCON EVIL All are some of the best subs I have ever owned and I have been into audio since 1987.
  22. 95 and earlier have the wire harness problems. It was $1000 and 6 hours of work to replace it. Awesome cars if you can find one that was taken care off, if not you can spend just as much on repairs as you paid for the car.

Well there goes the shops credit.... In all seriousness your gains are more than likely the issue. I realize you changed ohm load but if the amp is still sending a highly clipped signal it doesnt matter. shop isnt known for any Super nice builds when my wife took truck for my bday stereo they did all work n I decided to go better sub than recone mmats and now im stuck with a 34lb 2 day old paperweight and I tried calling teh fi warranty number to no avail they do alot of donks n rim tire dvd packages I know that muchShop sucks. Any shop who thinks using a DD-1 is useful should be avoided like the plague. Sucks that your sub burnt up, but regrettably it was all in the user. Setting the gain such that you don't have to use your ears is never a logical idea. In this case, listening for stress could have saved your sub.

err, maybe all depends on you. Has the potential but the driver is only a teeny part of the equation.

Anyone can design and sell a sub. I personally am not interested in just anyone doing that though. Juvenile naming of the company also hints to me that design was not the mantra of the company. Probably not skarbage, but it surely isn't on the level of a real company either.

After VERY little use of the ethos and the experience that I have had so far with you as an owner I can honestly say that when I make the big jump into competing this year DSS will be in one of my cars. I'm going to be building two cars for two different purposes next year, one will have your product, and the other will be an undecided SSA sub....It should be a fun season!

Great seller, great with shipping. I was out of town and asked him to wait to ship so that I was home. NO problems with this at all. Great Seller.
  34. Mark is not there to answer the phone, it is in Vegas for SEMA. I replied to your email about the PWX's. As for the battery, we should know shortly from Crescendo on the update.
  35. I am posting this ad for a friend of mine in Tucson,Arizona. I do not have specific pricing; the contact information for the seller is listed below. A lot of the equipment listed is brand new in the box and has never been opened! This is inventory that belongs to a one time authorized Zapco dealer. There four Zapco C2K amplifiers for sale: Two 9.0XD 2 channel amplifiers rated at 2,200 watts RMS in 4 ohm mono at 12.5 volts! Two 2.5X 4 channel amplifiers, Symbilink cables needed to hook up the aforementioned amplifiers. A very hard to find BatCap 8400 (14 volt version) with the matching 14 volt charger; these were purchased to use specifically with the 9.0XD’s. Two Reference 200.2 (SymBiLink versions), one of them is brand new in the box. The other is on his display board. Please contact Joe at [email protected] or (520) 440-2049 for pricing and additional information.
