  5. Here we go, starting the lightweight, simple install in the Miata First off some pictures of the car, keep in mind I was always too busy enjoying driving it to do anything else, like cleaning it Just after a wash, comparing it with a friend's Z3. Mock-up of the 7" tablet. Fits great in the scene Target for the entire system is under 30 lbs. That includes wiring, fiberglass, minimal deadening, speakers, amp, tablet and miniDSP.

  9. Thanks guys! Just wanted to do something simple of the jeep, but mainly show people you can run "crappy" subs and still sound good and be loud. (There are a lot of people around Oklahoma who are skeptics about thr benefits of a good box).
  10. Burn some dust here. Eat my rubber.

It uses non inductive passive loads. They are braking resistors for a light rail train. M5, why so condesending. I have an education. Yes I understand those terms just fine. The power measurement is done via 10 bit A/D. It's about +/- 2% for power. As far as the distortion detecting, they are calibarated to 1.0% +/- 0.1% If you are more interested in how our distortion detecting works you can read the patent here: http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=20130044886&OS=20130044886&RS=20130044886
  12. Gotcha, my comment was only because you added a lot of variables on top of alot of variables...or so it sounded. Working out what changes what & where and teaching your ear is the most important thing. I would also recommend that you absolutely IGNORE staging at the moment. There is always a compromise between FR & staging in any install and the staging cues are easy for anyone to hear, training your ear to listen to FR is much more difficult. There is somewhat of a saying in music, if you can't sing it you can't play it. And that doesn't mean anything about words. I spent too many years running a sound board though, can whistle/hum nearly any 1/3 octave band on cue...the really high ones I can't actually voice, but they "sing" in my head. Collectively though between different instruments and voice I have an amalgamated > 35 years of private lessons. I will add that ear training is by far the most important part of playing anything.
  13. Won't know for a while, but I have a new 18" DP that should be here any day now that I ordered right when the Black & Blue started up. From what I've seen, they're just as beastly as they were before.
