  7. Enclosure recommendations for 1 12" ICON

    Excellent choice on sub. There are two different ported enclosure suggestions, one is the standard design that works well with the majority of needs (other than SPL comp), the optimal suggestion is there for a little more low end IF the user has the space available for the larger box. The free 3D model that you can download, is tuned to 31hz and is there as another possible option that really has very strong low end performance. I would suggest you tune around 33hz. Port area will depend on the enclosure volume.

    ok .. so like i said i would throw up a score today.. no testing no tuning.. just burp a few times quickly before i lost all my coolant .. i have stated that to the ear the ethos were louder to me then the nightshade V2s ....... and well i was right. no testing .. no tuning.. stright outta the gate

    i updated one of my other topics, as soon as i got the recones done and put in.. i took my car to work .. so i could break them in on the way to and from.... my intake manifold cracked and now my town car is outta service im going to try to see if i can get some numbers today in the drive way before it over heats ... bad thing is i wont be able to test and tweek... just burp as is

    Good luck on getting one. There was a guy on cay co selling 1 a while back that he said was blown and right as I was sending him the payment he said to hold on and messaged me later that night and changed his mind when he found out his dumb ass had the switch set to slave instead of master lol. Swore I was about to get an AQ20k for $400. Would have been a decent deal even if blown IMO.
