  1. Kinda cool, I've heard great things about the value of the HDS3's as far as being one of best bang/buck 3" coils out for the money. Under $150 for a sub that takes over 1000 rms is a killer deal. I am still running 2 of the older AQ2200's at .5 ohm each and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them any time. Good pick up.
  2. I don't think he even wanted to hint about it. At least I wouldn't. I don't know 100% just what he mentioned at Freezefest, waiting to see if he follows up on it lol
  3. Over, and over, and over, and over....
  4. New center caps for the 4runner summer wheels!
  5. All I can do is laugh. Karma is a bitch. I wasn't exactly a good guy growing up. What comes around goes around.
  6. Nice looking Cables Tenacious !!!
  7. More updates. Got a few pics in, but MANY hours LOL. Got the battery bank charged up and installed. Ran 1 run of power and ground Staging Cable. Got the lugs soldered on. We have connection! I also showed my false floor some Tender Love and Care. Next few things is to mount the amps, mount the enclosure. Wrap the enclosure. Tuck the RCAs in, mount the radio. And get the front doors glassed and I'll be rockin' and rollin'! Hope you guys enjoy the updates.
  8. Why do you say that? Based on DD's history, I don't see it happening anytime soon.
  9. so, the thing is lol, I kind of must up the design of this box. In regards to the spec at least. But it is 7.3 cuft tuned to 34ish. Again, not 100% accurate. LOL. An 10" aero comes out to 75ish cuin. With an aero, you can get away with 25% less space vs slot port, or something to that. Impressions, it sounds like bass. I thought I was expecting a difference in sound, but no, it sounds the same. Now, with this box, I do have peaks at different frequencies. Unfortunately, I was never able to graph both enclosures to reflect this. The biggest difference, is SPACE SPACE SPACE lol. Oh, I am also about a db louder with the change. Why the change, meh, I guess I just wanted to try something different, I also had the aero's from Adrian_D just laying around, and wanted to use it. Also, It makes burping much easier. Thank you sir. Can't wait to hear it after the rebuild is complete. Things in order, just to give everyone an update. New Sub is in order. New Radio has been installed. H/o has been installed, as of a few days ago. New battery purchased, makes for 4 total Group 31s. I asked a teammate to let me use his charger to recharge, which he disagreed, so I am in the process of charging them via Autozone during rebuild. BTW, a fun fact, The Sears Platinum Series at full charge (12.8), has over 1,000 amps in it LOL. Winning. New SounDrive HiFi RCA's to be installed. New front stage. And New enclosure for new sub. Will also be installing new runs of Welding Cable. New false floor to be installed as well. So, as you can see, a lot has to be done in such a short time. This re-build is schedule to be complete for SBN. I will keep everyone posted!
  10. I think the takeaway is that there isn't a blanket solution for everyone's noise problems. Can it help relieve issues some are having? Apparently as I've been seeing first-hand accounts of a cable swap being the fix. But the clincher for me is what's going on behind the casing on those connectors. Seeing what some people (not naming for impartiality's sake) consider a "quality" solder job and what will result in the long-term effects of the crap jobs some of these Premium/Deluxe/Audiophile sets is what irks me. At least West is taking a little extra time and attention to the little things with these cables and not charging an arm and asshole for them.
  11. You need to start coming off more pics or stop posting.
  12. now to put everything back in!
