  1. I coat potatoes in bacon grease and kosher salt before baking them. Oh so yummy.
  2. Funny thing about how that works. 4th's seem to be loudest in the weirdest spots for port scores. Like where waves stand the most in a corner somewhere. In your case like right behind the loading wall or something stupid instead of the usual all the way back in a corner somewhere. The few ky shows I went to in the past all yielded similar results with a loud street setup always winning because they unload in the mic in a more concentrated spot. You're louder than the 12 15" guy when he was doing his port score. I think his was like a 66.5 or so.
  3. Score should go up 1 db after break in. Dash sealed, dash door open, and port score.
  4. *****UPDATE****** All Subs have been reconed !! This saturday I will be at Sundown HQ with 24k !!! Woot Woot. I just want to thank you Quentin, for such an amazing product and hands down best Customer Service. Not only to me, but as well as to Teric, Swift, and all the rest of us. You take good care of us, and that is really appreciated. Taking all the feedback from the people who user your equipment, rather for daily listening, or for extreme pressure levels, you treat us all the same and adhere to our inputs. With all the improvements coming forward for October Release, I can't imagine another product being close to price to performance. After tearing down the subs, it's retarded at how stiff the subs are AFTER I've beaten the living crap out of the subs. The only three things that now seem to be the weak point, is the leads, and triple joints and maybe some additional cooling. ALL which you've already taken the appropriate action to remedy these small concerns as not all users abuse these drivers as much as I and others have. Stay tuned !! 164 Outlaw WILL be in my 100% daily driver by the end of this year.
  5. when did you order it?Early Feb. Loldamn I hope I dont have to wait that long.Probably not. It probably got forgot or something. Don't know if iv even had a sub take this longNothing was forgotten, they are just flat out slammed and working 16-17 hour days to get caught up.have you guys ever considered adding a couple more build houses for times like this? or maybe stocking up and prebuilding some subs before busy season? or maybe offer where you buy all the parts and assemble the sub yourself? lol idk just a thought Because our speakers are made to order in the USA, in one location with a pair of engineers that are some of the very best period, we keep our manufacturing with them. The issue is, the constantly rising costs of materials and rising costs of building in the USA, the money is not there to grow a larger build house, and the profit is not there, not to mention the undertaking to even attempt that. What that means, is there is more demand than man power, and less profit than man power to keep up with demand. So there is no way, in the current situation, unless we raise prices to where they should be in the first place, that we could be stocking or pre-building. People want top end, premium American made subwoofers for near Chinese made prices. So something has to give. Lastly, we are not going to have an assemble yourself subwoofer, new, with the SSA logo on it. That would be untold amounts of issues for even less profit. I appreciate the input, but unless people are suddenly willing to pay for what SSA subwoofers are really worth, we do not have the option to have a large stock or expand the build house. In simple terms: "Fast, Great, Cheap, pick two."
  6. dam you guys are rough. why call second skin? anyone there have the same expertise as don? if the OP expects don to walk him through an order on short notice i'm not sure thats realistic. if you give his web site a thorough read you can figure out exactly how much you need to order. send an email to don with "shipping quote" in the title and you'll get your material ordered right away.

Depending on your application and budget, they may or may not be "worth it" for you. All of our cables are shielded, constructed with very nice cable and connectors that tightly grip RCA jacks, and come with a lifetime warranty. Personally, I would prefer buying one nice set of RCA cables I could use throughout multiple installs rather than buy multiple cheap sets of RCAs. As far as twisted pair goes - unless you have balanced differential outputs/inputs then they're borderline useless. In car audio, differential is very rarely used (symbilink uses it) and when differential isn't used, shielding is the #1 form of noise rejection. Cable routing is still important as always, but even passing over stock wiring can introduce noise, which can be unavoidable in many cars. One last thing - all of our cables are assembled in the USA and tested before we ship them out.
