Ill be detailing my first car at the shop this weekend so ill be keeping an eye on this thread . . What do most places charge for detailing a whole car. Inside and out?
  2. Pass side of the rear. OEM roof ac controls moved to the rear. Duct work, and adjustable vents, (blows wicked nice). Volt meteres in for hi (16v) and low (12v) meters installed Drivers side rear. Second HU installed, with wing nuts. It pulls out, with 18 feet of cable. Has its own PAC knob, and usb socket. 3 way switch and relays, only one deck (front or rear) can be on, at one time, depending on where the switch lays. Ampere Audio DSP installed. All fuses shown for judges. Seperate switches for sub amps, and 4 chan amps. 3 of the 4 alts pulled (sucks so bad) Factory reg is pulled, new plug installed in each to send field wire to each of the 3 seperate transpos. Back in.... will all be spinning soon
  3. Jealous of your wood!

Definitely not. My Xcon gets wailed on and basically lives outside. Not exactly exposed to the elements, but only a canvas over it most of the year and I live in MN...

Glad it made it back safely and looks good. Our products have shown not to have durability issues. Just spoke with a guy earlier today who is still hammering on his Icon 10 from 2007.

Got the Zcon back today and the thing looks brand spanking new. Really happy with the outcome and big thanks to SSA for doing such a great job. Im still needing an amp, batteries, and wiring to get this build rolling. May be first of the year before this happens, waiting on bonus and tax money to fund the rest of the project. Will update when I get the rest of the things needed.

Im really happy with Wolfgang products but there a little pricey. I polished with an orange/medium pad with there total swirl remover followed with there finishing glaze with a white/polishing pad. Topped it off with there deep gloss paint sealant and I was happy with the results. This was done with Lake Country Hydro-Tech Pads and a Griots Garage Orbital to be specific.
  12. So fresh and so clean clean. Top notch for sure, that blue though
  13. magic blue boxes in..... 8g everywhere...... All are in all are charging Working like a champ.
  14. I can't live without a replaceable battery and an SD slot. Even worse on the Apple is how it organizes music. Worst of all the choices by a million miles in that regard.

As we are low on Gcon stock and having some obstacles on getting the next build run done, I am tempted to buy this for myself.

Gcon may be the best bang for the buck driver on the market. If this were a pair I might be dumb enough to expand my collection.

That's Parker. I think Kenny Lee is considering grabbing it. Keeping it in the SSA family is always good.
  18. flip flops n ass hangin out, i give no fux nice and clean where the seam is, i always put it on bottom so that a leak cant develop there. gravity ftw ready this is what i use on blowthroughs, shit works awesome.
  19. LOL we all start somewhere, and that sounds like a sweet truck, post some pics? i think hes planning on having me build some doors or a console for it, we will see.. aint shit to weld it back in and bedliner it, wont even be able to tell lol. done it a few times.
  20. All of the videos are on half power. only 2 of my 4 amps.
  21. Thank you. A lot of work, time in this pig. We ripped the trans tunnel in 4 places, and the pass side floor had a 10" rip in it. That was taken care of via more metal and welding last week. First show, 3x up north, with no testing yeilded a 159.5 legal, sealed up on the dash on db drag (burp) and also a 158.4 on bass race, which is a 30 second average on music All sealed up on the dash, at 41hz. This last weekend was another 3x event, and put up a 160.1 on burpy, and a 159.4 on the music average run. Keep in mind, we only have 3 d7500's and one 3100 for battery, ..... yup, at 12 volt Its just gonna go up for sure. Still havent even played with the vent/loading wall in any way. Super stoked how its turning out.
  22. I may catch shit over this but its just my opinion lol.3800 series 2 & 3 engines very dependable.have strong bottom ends.I only like the supercharged version tho,as the NA's have shitty plastic intakes that crack or explode.
  23. There can be no winner in this discussion.
  24. I would have to say one of the toughest engines I have ever seen is the 225 dodge slant 6 not the worlds best performer but I have seen them go thru some UNREAL abuse and still get the car home... I have seen some of those old dodges with half a million miles on them rusted completely out but he engine still starts with out even a puff of smoke
  25. unless there are no turns on the way to work
  26. Gm Smallblock agreed. May be broad, but it's usefulness and longevity is just as broad. The Ford 5.0L. It paved the way for today's performance market when it was almost lost due to economy cars becoming the norm. It's stout and powerful and takes very well to modification. The GM 3.8L and 3800 of today and the last 25 years. I have experience with this engin and it is a tank. It will last for quite some time even when neglected. I'm going to stop there. There's really just too many good engineering marvels to count. Let's not forget all the old Auburn/Cord, Duesenburg, Benz, etc, inline 8,10, and 12 cylinders from YEARS ago. I know that's past 25 years, but those are tanks as well.
  27. Buicks Turbofied V6 - dated technology my ass, who else can get such amazing performance out of a V6, no one. And yes I realize that this engine requires mad mods to get cooking but the thing that speaks volumes is that the platform can take all those mods. Chevy's rule - to be specific the LS6 - but actually more important is the fuel injection which allows a monster to get a real (from my friend who owns a new vette) world 19mpg city. Fords 308 5.0 liter Mustang engine. Never has there ever been a sweeter sounding engine that can do rediculous power like a modded stang. And don't tell me about it's the exhaust because I have never heard another car sound like a stang no matter what exhaust was put on it. Honda's B & H series engines - 110+hp per liter stock is fricken rediculous. Now if we could just get an American car company to make a 3.0 liter V8 with tiny pistons rockin at 12K+ rpms with that intoxicating F1 sound then we would really have a winner.
  28. how can u not include the small block chevy? proabably the greatest motor of all time considering all of ur factors...and i'm not saying that because i'm a chevy guy...i'm saying that because it's the truth... ok... ford 4.9ltr inline 6......they should have never went to a v6. sure the gas mileage wasn't the greatest, but if u were pulling something, u knew it was there. IMO, the best standard motor put in a ford truck... ford/international powerstroke... need i say more? dodge/cummings diesel...see above.. chevy/isuzu duramax...again, see above... diesels rule!! and i don't own one yet.. mazda 13b rotory....awesome, screaming engine. hp potential out the ass, though it lacks on torque. had early reliablity issues, but once the 13b hit, most were resolved. loves to be turbo'd!! chrysler hemi, the old school version....when all top fuelers still use the basic head design of the 60's...what more can u say? ford flat head....it started it all. nothing more to say. while i don't think any of those will qualify, IMHO, those are some of the greatest ever. all of them have redefined teh automotive world at one time or another...and as such, should be on everyone's list.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
