I've always liked JL's subs. Back in high school I had a pair of their lower line 12's (W0, maybe ) in a crappy sealed truck box in my pickup and it felt like someone was smacking you in the chest while sounding pretty darn good. If I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to run any JL sub. I'd love to try out a W7 one of these days.

I really miss my 10" but that box just took up too much space. I know they do better ported, but I'm thinking a sealed 12".

Hmmmm. I might see a 12" Dcon in my future.

I always heard people going on and on about HD and how awesome it is. When I finally checked it out for myself, I found it to be too bright for my liking. It was almost painful to watch. you can always turn the brightness down..., did you at least notice the tremendous difference in clarity over SD? Yes, I did notice how clear and sharp everything was. I've never been one to really mess much with brightness, color, etc. To me it's just not worth it to pay the extra for HD channels.

I think you should do a box build dedicated to to the sub and Mike. This^^ will definitely happen. Just have to think of something cool and "different" to do. Congrats. I'll be watching for this build.

Srsly? I would have told him, "Pick the damn box up, you pussy." Someone like that wouldn't last half a day where I work.

From personal experience, I had a single 10" Dcon in SSA's recommended ported enclosure and it did more than "make your ears tingle just a tad". Some songs were just downright painful at the right volume. If I ever get to the point where I have more room to work with, I won't hesitate to run a multiple Dcon setup. Right now I'd love some Dcon 8's. *wink wink, demin*

Check out www.marksdailyapple.com . It pretty much goes completely against conventional wisdom in the areas of diet and cardio, but check out some of the success stories. I've been doing a lot of research on the subject of Primal and Paleo lifestyles recently and they both actually make a lot of sense. Making the transition is damn hard, though.

I just might have to try and snag one of those Orphans. Could be fun to play around with.
