  1. Probably. You need to remember though, that level of output is done in higher tuning ranges generally. Also, with even 2k watts youre looking at an extra battery at least and possibly a High Output Alternator. Id stick to a single 18" Xcon on 2k watts for this build, I'm sure you'll be surprised by how loud that is.
  2. Im no enclosure expert but it just seems like that box is wayyyyyy oversized. i dunno if thats what cuz it to screw up though.
  3. Seems like the enclosure could be a problem?
  4. Not a big difference between 30-31Hz or 32, nothing too audible. Basically what i was saying, i just picked 31 cuz its close to being in the middle of what IA reccomends. and @ the guy who said hip hop tune 35, while 35 will indeed bump plenty of hip hop what other genre really drops sub 30 other than hip hop/ few techno? i think his tuning is fine.
  5. I think 32 would be fine for your listening, IA recommends 28-35 so id try around 31 personally.
  6. Same board or not, Sundown and Incriminator Audio both make AMAZING amps that put out well above rated, while RD is shit in a case. you cant go wrong with either Sundown or IA, you can talk to both of them on the forums here.
  7. Really interested in this build, i drive a 2000 TL, so my car is pretty much the same as yours in most aspects
  8. Yeah seriously. Why do you guys need to waste money on vitamins and minerals that you get from your everyday foods? To get bigger? Stop being a vagina and work out a little harder. You have a LOT to learn if you honestly think you can get big just by lifting in anything less than a very long period of time. diet + supplements + good workouts > working out + eating.
  9. Pretty sure dealer car cost is sketchy.
  10. i nominate Audiopipe for cheap power, have you considered looking on other forums for used amps?
  11. why cant you just link it...

I thought they were a good company until someone said they are almost the same as Hifonics. I dont know about that though. I know the prices are competitive. They are very similar to DD, and they will do more than rated power (see the AQ 3500 vs Sundown 3500 in the sundown technical section). while indeed losing to the sundown, it still shows it puts out more than rated power AND is about half the price of the sundown .they are pretty reliable. subwoofer wise, i cant comment. the HDC's are said to get loud but their SQ hasn't really been proven either way, some say they sound good and others say they sound hollow, would have to listen to one yourself to decide.
  13. The Audiopipe is great for the money, if you can wire your shit to 2 ohms. i would personally take the audioque over the crunch, theyve been proven to be incredible amps with a great price tag.

You would probably be better off with stepping up to a Death Penalty, though set up correctly im sure the Death Row could handle that wattage.
  15. The xcon is a very muscial subwoofer and it handles a great amount of wattage, ive heard them myself I'd definitely go that route if youre looking for a loud, but well sounding, daily driver.
  16. K well we've established it can fit but does anyone know if an enclosure 14"high x 34" deep x 32" wide will work?
  17. I just dont quite see an 18" fitting in that area of the cardue to my strange car design back there, thought it was a good suggestion Really wondering about the "T" shape or whether my original dimensions would work.
  18. I'm still readin and it looks to be a great build so far but i simply dont think that would work with my car =/
  19. Do you have a picture of the final result? im semi confused about it to be honest, by doing it how you did it would i lose the back seat at all? and like i said, the the trunk kind of tilts up near the back so it could end up wierd, thanks for the idea though im interested for sure
  20. i dont really care for any trunk space, which is why i said im willing to build a T-shaped box if it would still sound as good since it would also add more cu. ft. im just tryin to see if i can maintain over 5 cu. ft with 31-33hz tuning and the sub displacement. how tall was your lil bro's box?
  21. Well i'm talkin to a member on *** about buyin his 18" dc level 5 but first i got to make sure i can fit it decently in my trunk (wall is not an option and im not taking out the back seats). my trunk is 16-17" high depending on location and im looking to run a box this size (optimum size without going into a different shape from square/rectangle): 32" wide, 16" tall, 30" deep. should be ~ 7.795 cu. ft before and displacement. im lookin to have the box tuned to 31-33hz as i listen to mostly rap and techno. the sub specs according to DC site are: Mounting Depth = 10.5Mounting Hole Diameter = 16.75"Motor Width = 9.84"Weight = 80.5lbsVC Diameter = 3" Flat 8 layerSd = 1159.00 cm²Suggested Ported = 5³ ftSuggested SPL Ported = 8³ ft I was thinking of facing up towards the trunk/spoiler, as it obviouslly will not fit facing the license plate haha. was planning to use .5" MDF with a double baffle due to the sub's weight, can do more if neccesary though. Really wanting this setup but i wanted to check on spacial issues with all of you! Thanks ahead of time, can get any more information if needed, pics etc. edit: i could also run a an upside down "T" shaped box but i've heard it wouldn't sound very decent....
  22. I have heard the Xcons and i will say that they sounded great, but could also be extremely loud haha, im ordering some myself soon after hearing them
  23. pretty sure MAX area would be obtained via 16" height, 19" depth, and the 44" width. i knocked off some of the max, because i dont think i could fit it into my car if it was larger.
  24. well the thing is, my trunk isnt flat and angles upwards towards back. trunk opening width is 46" and the height with trunk closed is 17.5". however, the depth really depends on how far youre going back cuz i believe its 35" maximum but the trunk has a smaller height towards the back (13" max i do believe). i believe the max depth with a height of at least 16 is 30" depth, 16" height. however, the trunk also is thinner towards back and is 32" wide with the current carpeting job. pretty sure MAX area would be obtained via 16" height, 19" depth, and the 44" width. i knocked off some of the max, because i dont think i could fit it into my car if it was larger.
  25. Finally got around to uploading the pictures, wasnt at home at all yesterday. edit: if you're wondering how large any given area is, just ask and ill go get measures.
