  1. Maybe a box with a tunable port and a couple D2 SA-12s on a Sundown 2500d @2ohms daily and @.5 for comps?
  2. nice! now get that bish installed and let us know how ya like it
  3. Good deal as long as there's no problems with it, don't think I've ever seen one even close to that cheap
  4. I agree with bassahaulic (and Notorious) You'll be dropping well over 2 grand (probably closer to 3k+) into a system by going with the BTL and SAZ 3000 if you want to do it right. That's alot of duckets to drop on something you're likely to smoke test very quickly. Notorious has a very good idea that would probably work alot better for you and be alot cheaper while being quite loud. I vote 2 Sundown SA-15s on a Sundown 1200 or 1500. The difference in output would be minimal. The difference in cost by going with the BTL & SAZ3000D will be significant
  5. MTX does not make a sub that I would choose over a BTL. That said, the 9500 series from MTX are pretty damn stout and the only series of subs I'd buy if I were set on MTX.
  6. rms is 2000 and a good high quality 1500-2000watt amp like Sundown should be plenty satisfying, especially if you have the room for a 7-8 cube enclosure
  7. Well I ordered up some cable to do my next install (build log coming soon....hopefully) 4 days ago, UPS just dropped it off and 2 of the 3 lengths I ordered were not in the package. So I'm left here thinking and so I called the phone number from the website to try and figure it out. I did not get a human being right away but it only took 1 button press to get someone on the phone. A man answered promptly and I told him my package arrived and was 2 pcs. of cable short, he said he was very sorry and that the rest of my order would be shipped out today. No questions asked. I was satisfied and off the phone before the UPS man made it to the end of my block. Very nice guy on the phone and was very considerate. I will be doing more business with weldingsupply.com in the future and I urge you to do the same. Big for these guys.
  8. 1500-2000 should be plenty for a daily application and no prior experience imo. Will be more kind to your electrical system as well.
  9. how much space have you got? is that budget just for sub/amp?
  10. to the forum
  11. Should slam on high notes and peter out quickly digging deep. There used to be a cat running one of those a while back around here, pretty damn loud for 1 12"
  12. Why not just contact a box builder/designer? I would suggest contacting Bromo here on SSA. 98GMC has a link in his sig...
  13. Yeah, he got the shaft for sure. He could have had a nice, new high quality amp for what he paid for that pile o'
  14. good price, also see some cheap fuse holders
  15. nice and clean, I like it
  16. nice work, I wanna see how that herculiner turns out
  17. should sound very good
  18. oh nuckin futs, great deal!
  19. Fi BTL is cheap-ish?
  20. There are some nice packages in the SSA store. If you want to do a single sub, the US Amps MD-21 and either 10" or 12" Dcon (I think there is a half inch difference in mounting depth) would be nice and save you some coin. The dual Dcon with Sundown 125.2 package would also be good if you wanted to run 2 subs. Do you want to use your whole budget and be loud or use about half and still sound great without rattling the piss out of your new truck (although I hear single Dcon setups can be plenty loud). There are loads of options to be sure, these are just a couple of very nice ones that I can think of.
  21. why not just use what you've got if it's only temporary anyway
  22. What are your goals, what type of music do you listen to, have any electrical upgrades been done or at least planned? Why 4 subs and 2k for a temporary setup?
