The newer Fi Q recones will work. You will be happier with just doing that. Just include in the message box that its for a pre-09 motor.
  2. Agreed. They could put a little more effort into the packaging. It may have been broken before it was loaded onto the container from china and nobody checked it when it got to their warehouse. I guess you could buy a frame and a recone and see if they can cover that invoice for you and your customer's sake.
  3. Its a build in progress. I will scrap the 6x9s when I need more space for woofers and make some pods for my front doors. Money is going elsewhere right now so I may not get to it til late summer early fall.
  4. and another. Going to work on getting gains by plugging 6x9 holes and such...
  5. copper or flat alum?
  6. it did. Gonna try to drill it down with a shop towel underneath. I have to improve the sound from the trunk to get gains as well.
  7. I don't see that alternator putting out much @ idle as the pulley is huge. Even though it is high output, it may not be suitable for audio applications.
  8. no videos, but the sub is pretty much reaching its mechanical limits. I blew the dust cap off when I had it in a large enclosure I had built for the zcon, so I put a full face RE XXX DC on it.
  9. Its alright for a daily driver, but I want louder now that I've been going to some shows. My girl is gonna kill me =[
  10. Not a build log, but my list of equipment is here on my first video of this set-up. Enjoy!
  11. You should have torn the soft parts out yourself and posted pics. This way we could have seen if you burnt the leads, burnt the coil, exc.
  12. if you didn't want the amp repaired why did you send it in?

what are you currently tuned @?
  14. It was coming off from the cone bond
  15. I was sanding it. I put an RE XXX v3 full face to cover the damages to the cone.
  16. We drafted johhny manziel!!!! woooooooo
  17. I just got my alt in, so I don't know if I'm getting greedy with the power since I don't really have to monitor voltage anymore as my limits to the volume button.
  18. normal temperatures. I keep on checking it, and its warm to touch, but not flaming. Seems like it always comes off after a certain amount of rocking though..
  19. goop is what I'm using. I really want to refrain from using CA on the DC
  20. You're trying to run @ 1 ohm? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MMATS-M600-2-monoblock-amplifer-/331065511388?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item4d150acddc
