Told him straight up before we started this deal, that I was waiting for my tax money. He gladly held on to SSA XCon 18 and Sundown 1500d for me. Either would've easily sold weeks before my money finally arrived, but we kept in contact and he held them for me, even after others had shown interest. Found a JVC deck his buddy had for sale, again told him I was interested, he not only held onto it, but paid his friend for it up front. Soon after my money arrived, sent payments for everything, then the toys started arriving. He's got packing skills, they could've air dropped them over my house and they would've been fine. Again, I'm absolutely impressed all the way around with his communication, his packing and just straight forward being a good guy. Once I can get my phone to quit with the gay act, I'll upload pics of how everything was shipped and arrived to me. Couldn't have bought from a better guy. Thanks again bro!

i'd do the 2 10's ported, its going to be much less work build wise. being ported, the low end will seem louder, and you're really not sacrificing a ton going with the 2 10's ported instead of 2 12's sealed.

www.psp-inc.com has a port calculator on their site for aeroports. i like aeroports for external port boxes, easy to change tuning if you plan on competing at all....otherwise, a slot or aeroport is just fine....

i'd be more inclined just as a reference to do fuse rating by 12.8v by efficiency, as no system is going to give you 14.4. as far as power goes, you should be very close to your rated power, either little lower, or little higher.....so much more comes into play as far as what power your subs are seeing anyway. biggest thing, right electrical to keep the amp supplied with juice.

why prefab box? how much power do u have? what vehicle? alt? wiring? battery(S)? havent heard a cvx in awhile, but from my experience type r sounds better, will take more abuse *IF YOU'RE SOMEWHAT INTELLIGENT* than any kicker product short of the solo x. if you've got the room, the power, and everything else to back it up, nightshade 15 no doubt. but if not, lets here some details and go from there. the box right now is definitely your biggest issue. will be with any sub.

i could do some hair tricks with certain songs with my sx15 and about 11-1200 rms in my cavalier seat down, box and port facing trunk.....i was low tuned, playing lower toned rap songs....the more air you can move, the easier it is to blow some hair around homie....im putting an xcon 18 in my van, hoping i can do something with that, if not, alternator, batteries, more subs and bigger amps will make it possible, but that requires time. good luck man...

k. edub....you basically called ford out, dont like it? then stfu about shit. im with him on certain things...i dont think him posting here was correct as mine will be off topic and ill apologize now about it.....but, you dump on ssa over not releasing specs on a sub, when sundown and other companies do....they are different companies run by different people....get over it. dont care who designs it or builds it...all i care about is the quality in which it is built and if something does go wrong, the customer service that backs it up. knowing things early is cool, but knowing them 7 months before u can preorder it or buy it doesnt do u much good. so why bag on ssa about it? then go into sundown forum and compliment them for giving u the specs? maybe ssa woofer will be available sooner or the sundown, doesnt matter really...no need for that type of behavior ford....wouldnt have brought this here man....i understand your view and your reasoning. but as i said to him on the ssa thread, lets be adults...im done with this situation. an opinion is one thing, and a reply is too, but he was pissing people off with his opinion and you've clearly bit on to hard and are replying elsewhere to insight more bs....i agree his reasons are dumb. but they are his, something he's entitled to. lets leave this at this.

as long as you know all your measurements and are buying it there, lowes will do it....they just dont do the cut outs for the sub or angled cuts i dont believe...

also consider the nightshade from sundown maybe? but everytime i've heard anyone speak of a btl especially the 15 or 18, they are always loud, always hit low, and sound decent, this is what i've heard, hopefully going to some more competitions this year, ill hear a daily setup with some btl's and some other companies stuff.....i'd like to have my own opinion instead of everyone elses

eDUB, why not be a bit more positive with your posts? no matter the opinion, you can post them in a more intelligent manor that is less offensive....calling somebody a fanboy is a joke at best, you're over on the sundown forum praising them, cause what? u got to see some t/s specs....wow...jacob runs his company a bit differently, thats all. i like both....ill run whatever my ears enjoy...i plan on owning a sundown sub someday to compare with the xcon 18 ill be installing here shortly. but this crap is pointless and should stop, i dont enjoy calling anyone out but come on man. either be more polite about stuff or just stay out of it.
