The current SA-8 from Sundown are sold out unless you can find a dealer or online dealer that has some in stock. The SA-8v.2 will be a bit before production begins. The SoundSplinter Orphans are a hell of a buy.

It's called continued improvement and reliability on product! Every company does this "smaller" or "mainstream" so get used to it. Sundown being a smaller company is striving to better themselves with each new and improved model they release. They offer great customer service and repairable products if service is ever needed. Sundown is more than willing to showcase new products they are devloping and improving.
I have a DCON 10" and although it performs great in a sealed box, it really comes to life in ported enclosure. I would recommend a ported enclosure for the DCON and all SSA drivers.

..... And does that surprise you? It's all in the name of business and increasing traffic to the SSA Store. The more people you get to the store the better chance of selling product at a profit. Doing the "Outrageous Sale" was/is a great idea. Sure SSA lost money on a few comp sets but the increase in store traffic will pay dividends in the end.
