  1. Does it remember your username as well? I have it set to remember my username and password, and then I just have to click "log me in" if its been over 24 hours since my last visit.
  2. Since when did this turn into a garage sale? lol
  3. The biggest AGU fuse you can get is 80 amps. Upgrade to an ANL fuse and fuse holder.
  4. Tell me.. when someone is talking to you or when you're at a concert; do you stand with your back to them so the sound comes from behind you? No. You stand facing the source. The same principle applies in car audio. Also.. quite honestly. Brand loyalty is really freaking gay. Who cares what you have. Get what sounds good, performs well and utilizes pricing you can afford. edit: also... running components off of the HU is just silly. Hopefully you have an amp for them.
  5. You should strongly consider just forgetting about the 6x9's in the rear. Use the money that you were going to spend on them for the ZR components. Also, why the strong attachement to JL? They do have great products, but the also are a little spendy. You could get something of the same quality and perhaps better for a lot less.
  6. The last run used muscle-fit (or whatever you want to call it) shirts so comparably, these should be larger. so thats why it fit me so well.
  7. I heard the word strippers.. :/
  8. Box? final ohm load? You were putting around 380w per sub if you ran the 1500D at 1 Ohm. I'm curious to see what they do with rated power.
  9. Also the RE12 was once acclaimed as one of the top 12" woofers in its price bracket for SQ and performance. Keep those badboys. They'll make you smile, you just need to install them right.
  10. LOL, I'd skip anything with "platinum" in the name. Honestly though. Before you go out spending money on new subs; build a proper ported box for the RE's. I've run the RE8's and an RE10 before (seperate setups). The RE10 ported was extremely tight and punchy and had plenty of output for me. I had two RE8's in a sealed box and they also pleased me greatly. I think your first step towards a better "system" is to build a correct box for the RE's. After that, you need to start thinking about a better amp. For you at the moment you need an amp that does 450-600w @ 1 or 4 ohms. The Sundown SAX-100.2 would be a good match for your subs. You would need to wire them like this:
  11. I'd guess nevar. have you seen the default forum theme? Mark is into dark things. Black coffe, night time, black dudes, movie theatres, ink, etc.
  12. on the way
  13. Jesus. I'm never getting out of debt. Can I get a package deal for a ten and a twelve?
  14. c'mon Mark, we can't all be over 200lbs I usually wear a Medium. jeremy barely weighs over a buck twenty I bet.
  15. lulz Must have been AudioBling.
  16. that kid has bigger balls than I do. figuratively speaking of course.

Remember that the Sundowns are no longer warranted to do .5 ohms. So if you fry the thing.. you get to pay for a new one. Might want to think about running something a little higher than .5 ohms for your "skull crushing daily beater".

Well, if all cars were manufactured the same no.. But as far as I know, they're not.
  19. Plus box size, car frequency, car power source box location, amp type, barometric pressure, altitude all play key factors in determining loudness.
  20. Sundowns are verrry underrated. Check out the stickies in the Sundown forum
  21. There is no possible way to calculate SPL without testing it in car. Just tooooo many variables. If you want to actually hit some big numbers, then you need to build a ported box, use as much space as you want to (in your case 2 cubes), and then find a Sub or subs that will fit in that space. I'm not sure what the Assassin wants ported, but I would guess at 2cuft, 2 of them would be right at home.
  22. Under $250? You may need to add some fundage to that total number if you plan on getting something decent as far as amp AND sub go. You should take a close look at Ascendant Audio subs. They may fit in your price range. You should also look at the Soundsplinter RL-i 10" Others to consider are the Mach5Audio MAW-15 and the Sundown SD-1 12" Either one of those would be good for you without breaking the bank. As far as an amp goes... you pay for quality. That's where I would spend the majority of the "extra" money that I suggested.
  23. put those in all the woofers shipped!
  24. No more than $500? Try one of these combos for the ICON coupled with the Sundown SAE-1000D 10" 12" 15"
  25. strip some of the wire back. Surely you aren't sending enough power to the Q to warrent 8awg cable. And if you are... bye bye warrranty.
