You should do the same thing Matt, R-Kelly, and I have done and get a high-end headunit and run active using the headunit. It would be the easiest/cheapest way to make what you want happen.

You would only need 1-2 large batteries in the rear in addition to the front battery for .5 daily. You could do just 1 large battery in the rear if you are up to doing a H/O alternator.
