  1. Go with the 0ga in and 2 4ga out, in case of future upgrades your wire is already in place.
  2. Just because you get nightshades doesn't mean you will be doing 150s as well, I hope that's not the main reason your choosing those subs.
  3. Yeah it will sound better sealed vs ported because trunk cars dont have enough room to throw an 18" ported sub enclosure in them. Should of went with a 15" if you want a ported enclosure.
  4. Thread wont be locked cause its a "vs" thread. You wont fit either in that trunk, look at a Fi SP4 15" or 2-Fi Bl 12"s. Usually more cone area and power compression is a plus in a daily driver but its not a factor in which will be louder. The only way to find out whats louder is to buy both and install then meter them in your install. Just flip a coin and go from there.
  5. It wont matter, you wont hear a difference between either one. If budget is an issue then go with the Crescendo amp or flip a coin.
  6. You can do something a million times, means nothing if you've done it wrong every single one of those times. Glad to see you rejoined the conversation 4 months later. Hopefully the OP ignored your bozo advice a long time ago Good one.
  7. Why would I assume I fell asleep? It's a possibility. But highly unlikely. I was bright eyed and bushy tailed up until it goes blank. I'm not one to just doze off. A blow to the head can easily cause a small memory lapse but I thought that was common sense. It is common sense, but it is also common sense not to rule anything out since you say you honestly dont remember what happened. Nobody is bashing you, just trying to figure what happened thats all. Just cause your not one to dose off doesnt mean it cant happen.
  8. Sounds sketchy to say the least
  9. Both, it depends on the vehicle and where the port is. It also depends on the placement of the box itself in the vehicle, the placement of the subs on the box plays a role as well. In car audio there are too many factors to consider, but you can get a general idea of what works best if you can find someone with the same vehicle or equipment. The real question is help with what?
  10. So how do you know you werent drinking or texting(ie looking at your phone) if you dont remember? Not trying to be a dick just wondering..... Glad you walked away with no scratches, shit looks crazy.
  11. If your question isnt answered by Monday, give IA a call and ask for Nick. I get faster responses usually when calling or emailing vs the forum.
  12. Its gonna be hard to find ported enclosures in your trunk because most will be real wide on the dimensions, i dont see many enclosures with more depth than width. So if your trunk is 70" wide then i dont see how your gonna fit 2 decent enclosures in a trunk, which its not. You trunk is not that tall to stack the boxes on top of one another either. Dont cheap out on an enclosure, it will be the highest factor in your system sounding good or bad. Just my .02
  13. Your gonna get bad and good opinions on that amp or any amp in particular. I would find something in your budget that is dependable and can hold you over till you get what you want. Like Impious said 1500-2000 watts is fine, the amp turns usable power into heat rather than watts anyway. So unless competing its not worth it, try focusing on an efficient enclosure more than the amplifier. Just my .02
  14. You would bump a year old thread just to make this blanket of a statement, fail on your part.
  15. The shop building the enclosure should know how to do this, but 4th order ported through the rear deck is one way.
  16. Comps look good Jacob
  17. I would stick with a 15" or lower, 18s in cars aren't really optimal. Not saying they can't fit
  18. Im guessing why buy a new amp if you have one sitting around that will do the job.
  19. Not a good reason at all to do it but to each its own (im pretty sure i have done dumber things growing up). I'd hate for you to do it to someone with bad road rage (just might be the last time you do it).
  20. Glad to hear that you like it A fold down arm rest with a pass-thru would have been great. Unfortunately I had a solid plastic panel, no pass-thru. I had the same as well but I took the whole seat out and removed the solid plastic panel. Once I let the arm rest down it was a pass thru, so it will do for now.
  21. You dont even have to use a fuse that high, the fuse is there to protect the wire and the amp.
  22. I like that, great idea for anybody with a fold down arm rest. I get tired of pulling my arm rest down everytime I get in the car and vice versa.
