Because someone probably told him those subs will take it. Who or why they would tell him that for daily driving, i dont know.

No point in running at 0.5 ohms.

Nobody can really answer that question truthfully. Is it for burps, demos, daily driving etc.

Check your amp and head unit settings. Also check your subs wiring, could of accidently wired to 4 ohms instead of 1 ohm.

There is no way to say which is actually louder without testing both setups in your car. Flip a coin. Soundqubed has a technical section on their website, look into it for whatever you need about box specs.
