  1. Hellz Yeah Bro, that turned out sweet! Nice job!
  2. With your max dimensions you are looking at around 3.5cf after sub and port displacement is removed and that is really pushing it. I too would also look at some Dcons or the Sundown SA subs. They do well in smallish ported boxes. I would personally play it safe and go with 2 10's, but you may be able to get 12's in there with the right box design. The Dcons get pretty loud on small power which is good. You wold be good on stock electrical and wont have to spend a ton on a big amp. Really big bass is not going to happen in your vehicle unless you cut it all to hell and back, but if you lower your expectations just a little.......you can have a really nice set up with some great bass.
  3. Prolly going to need some more help. Check these out.
  4. Happy Birthday Guys!
  5. Not my design but pretty cool
  6. You could build a small sealed or ported box on the cheap. Personally I would build one of the ported boxes in the SSA tech sections and wake that sub up!
  7. I think it's your box.
  8. i want to have a good loud system and i thought that ether 3 of the SA 8s would be loud or the 3 SSA 12s i just want to have a nice clean loud stereo. What is your budget for amps, subs, box, wiring? How much of that space do you realistically want to give up? Remember you do still have to drive it. lol Here is the deal Bro, you will find the help you need on here, but you need to slow down and give all the details. The more time you take to write a post describing what your after, how much you have to spend, what you have, your level of experience, etc, etc, the happier you will be in the end. This can get expensive, especially if you have to do it over and over because you didnt take time to do it right the first time. Details Bro, the more the better. There are plenty of other forums where you can post something like you are trying to do here and everyone will just start naming shit. Get DC Subs, AQ Bro, or PM me I have some used pile of shit to sell you. This is not that kind of forum. You WILL actually get some help around here, but it is up to you to give us something to work with. The more specific and detailed you are, the happier you will be in the end!!!!!
  9. You do not have room for 3 12's, and why 3 of any subs? What exactly are you trying to do Bro? Slow down before you waste you money.
  10. The Sundowns remote is a remote gain so yes, you could turn it down at the remote.
  11. the one you have room for
  12. Need more pics! Stop goofing off and build something.
  13. Sweet!
  14. No one believes the Xcons will get down sealed up. I sure do.
  15. That's my thoughts too. I don't see a way it couldn't be, but I have never done it so I asked. Thanks!
  16. If an amplifier is receiving a bandpassed input from the head unit of say 60hz - 2000hz and I used the RCA out from the amp to another amp will the second amp receive the same frequencies as the first? I would think so as I dont see how it could be full range as it's not receiving full range input from the source. Just thinking and wanted to double check with some of you guys to confirm. ?
  17. Hell, just paint it with an oil based paint. They can custom mix any color you want so your choices are unlimited and on the cheap. Vinyl is another option.
  18. Amps only amplify the incoming signal. They do not change the sound. An unclipped, clean signal will sound the same, IMO. The main reasons to buy a brand X over Y are price, features, and brand reliability. Not SQ. If I spent $1500 on an amp I would have already convinced myself it would sound better than the $200 amp it replaced before I even listened to it, therefore it would sound better to me because I just spent all that money. The mind is a very powerful tool. Phychoacoustics. Edit to add if it sounds better to me, that's the goal. So if in the end I am happy then I win.
  19. Your going to have to run the AA's active and it does not sound like you have any experience with that. Why not install the Hertz real proper like and call it a day? A good install is not going to be cheap and it's never a bad idea to have money left over so you can buy me something too. lol
