I currently have 1 08 ZX750.1 kicker mono amp(2ohm stable) and 1 12"L7 kicker DVC 4ohm. I was looking into getting somthing better than the L7 that i have.i want to upgrade my SQ and SPL. I want a LOUD sub!!! What do you guys recommend along with the enclosure specs

With only 750w on tap, a ported SSD 15" or a Q 15" (with no options) would fit your bill nicely.

If you can't fit a 15", a 12" sub will be very potent as well.

I sitt on the fence i like too lisen to Music during the week ( Daily Driver )

then Switch boxxs and do the SPL Warrior thingy on the weekends

pick a sub that fitts your Budget and build a Killer Ported Boxx

anything will sound better than the L7. IIRC, they aren't very efficient, either, so many things will be louder as well. Was the Kicker sealed or ported? What were the specs on the box?

Srry forgot to mention its ported.

if you want more sq id say the ssa icon or the fi q, but if you want more on the spl side id say a fi bl or a re sx, but thats if you want to stay in a low price range, either way they will all blow that l7 out the water

I would love to see more people like this go with SSDs. I wonder why people think its not capable of doing damage for less invested.

you should look into audiopulse, they have great spl and sq, i have their axis sub on a saz 3000d right now, i wouldnt trade it for anythin

I find it hard to get good SQ and SPL...

BL is more for daily driving rather then SPL

BTL is SPL oriented...

Q is more accurate in the bass area...

I'd get the SSD's with copper coils and BP option.

I can understand the Q but the recommending the BL (or several mentioned) over the SSD with the power on hand?

x2 on the SSD with copper coils and BP option. If you can fit it I'd go with an 18 over the 15 since you want it louder.

Bullshit, no one EVER said a sub can't be loud and sound good. Your comprehension is severely lacking. What has been said is that they are opposite installs. If you want an SQ install, by default your sub CAN'T be loud. What the OP wants here is a loud sub that doesn't sound like crap. Considering it is the box that defines this, as long as the install is up to par he should be fine. A BL will be good enough, but not enough power so I'd stick with an SSD or an Icon.

the ssd has been very good to me. it sounds amazing. i now have it in my home theater.

anyone have a re-cone rebuild pics or anything too look @ ??? id like too see how there put together...

With the copper coil option I think they're a great choice.
