So Duran has a problem, I got my 9887 all hooked up, but for some reason when I try to play a CD it's turning my amplifier off, change it back to the Tuner and it turns the amplifier on again. I've searched for days for a setting that would help me out with no luck, any suggestions fellas?

That's a no-brainer. .

You hooked the power antenna lead up for the remote turn-on instead. When you switch to a source different from the tuner, it switches the antenna lead off and likewise, your amplifier. Switch the leads and you should be good. The unit should have a separate wire for amplification control.

I wired up a button for my antenna when I had the 9813...the same day I installed the 9835 and it switched the antenna wire. Nice to find after cutting a hole in the dash :(

Started the long process of detailing the little Mazda up to where I like to keep my cars.

Not sure if any of you might be interested, but here is my character on facebook.

I am keeping the Haunt progress updated in hopes to draw more people to come and visit us this year.

quinoa

I'm gonna try it as an alternative to rice. I'll keep you kids posted. I have a hunch it might make a decent risoto alternative.

The work lunch bar had it and thought, to try it. I never want to eat their food unless it's breakfast and there is one specific man working the flat to for an omlette. They make crap. So this was a bad representation of it I'm sure...... But it wasn't disgusting and I might be able to trick the W into eating it instead of rice or some other empty carb-o-rific food.

Anywhoosle, anyone know of a recipie that would make quinoa that isn't soupy and would have the texture of steamed rice? Aparently it's possible.

Not sure why you need an alternative to rice.

Just throwing this out here. I'm looking to improve my braking. I checked the pads and they are fine (plenty of pad left). When my wheel bearing went out recently it tripped my ABS light. My friend said it might be from the excessive heat in the area because the wheel bearing was so bad (video below).

Should I completely replace my fluid? Does anyone know a good place to get stainless braided lines (particularly those for a lift). I also would like to do a hydroboost but not sure if I have the cash for it.

lol, the stock brakes on the Silverado are SERIOUSLY pathetic. Classic GM shit. My truck has a really hard time pulling my little 3500lb trailer. When braking the trailer always comes to the rescue as well. :( Soon hopefully I will be done with the GM poop.

I change brake fluid about every 10K. This is the most over-looked fluid by far. I would exhaust all other options before switching to hydro-boost.

What "tool" do you use?

Nick, with his experience, your father should have known better than to tighten that nut with an impact. You actually have to set a pre-load on it, by tightening to a certain amount of drag, then loosening, the tightening again and specific amount.

And in reality I never tighten anything with an impact. Sure get it real close, but knowing how you torque every bolt is important.

There are exceptions of course, but not many.

I need a cheap road bike to commute to class. I think a fixed gear would be cool. I tried searching craigslist but it didn't really find anything. Any ideas on where to find one?

I'd need facebook then...which for this case I'd like, but otherwise no.

Good tool to help advertise for the Haunt and keep people wondering and exceited.

No personal stuff of mine will be on there.

Great neighborhood butcher in St. paul. Sales are awesome when they are on and steaks were just amazing.

My wife loves white rice, doesn't mind brown. She does not eat much for fiber and is a carb-o-holic. If this could quelch some of her starch cravings while getting in some extra nutrients that would be awsome.
