14 provided they meet certain conditions. Also, vision requirements in most states only require 20/40 vision in one eye uncorrected or ~20/60 in one eye with correction. Basically, you're trying to keep in front of elderly drivers and avoid teenage drivers altogether. And then there's the tractor-trailers...

I started driving at 14.5, it's important to teach children the rules of the road at a young age, I had my license at 16 and have never been in an at-fault accident.

i was driving my mom home from the bars at 11... we lived 35 miles out of town .... and i a drive for a living now.
