Same thing happened to me some months ago. But I left it alone and now another fingernail is growing under the blood. The above one started to chip. Would take a while till fully recovered.

Would be nice to be able to sleep in on a day off.

I still remember smashing my nail when young and no one told me to drain it. That shit hurt for weeks. Now I use the smallest drill bit I can find and drill by hand.
