Posted January 19, 201015 yr I Dont Really Understand how to bridge a Dual 2 Ohm Speaker,On My Speaker I Have Positive Crosing Over To Positive And Negative Crossing Over To Negative (1 Ohm Load)Like ShownHow Do I Hook This Up To The Amp?Because The 2 Outside Terminals Which are Usually Positive Negative Are Positive Positive Edited January 19, 201015 yr by Kent
January 20, 201015 yr i think is on the right side of the speaker connection you gota hook up the neg from speaker to pos amp and pos speaker to neg amp
January 20, 201015 yr umm hook the positives up the postives and the negatives up to the negatives, then branch off to the amp? whihc amp are you using? is it a mono block amp? if so does it have 2 sets of input terminals?
January 20, 201015 yr if you go to sundownaudio.com and go under ur amp there is a spec sheet and shows you a pic of the wireing
January 20, 201015 yr I think .....wire up ur sub like the picture you have then on the amp from left to right u have ur power connections then + - - + on the right side of connection - + connect ur + sub to - amp and - sub to our + amp from what i can see in the pic thats how you wire it
January 20, 201015 yr Just hook it up positive to positive and negative to negative. Your not bridging anything, bridging an amp refers to 2 or 4 channel amps.
January 20, 201015 yr Just hook it up positive to positive and negative to negative. Your not bridging anything, bridging an amp refers to 2 or 4 channel amps.x2, you can hook it up to either set of +,- speaker terminals on the amp and it will work.
January 20, 201015 yr Author So My Sub Is The One That Is Bridged?Since Its 1 ohm,And so that means i hook it up on the 1St and 2nd Terminal since the two outside ones are positive?
January 20, 201015 yr well if you have a mono amp with 2-set of output terminals jsut hook the positive leads and negatives leads to the amp, since internally it is in parellel already.
January 20, 201015 yr remember you are NOT bridging the SUB you are hooking the sub in parellel to DROP the ohm load!
January 20, 201015 yr np man! glad we could help out!!! and we all get a little confused once in awhile!
January 20, 201015 yr Also on a Mono amps, like the SAZs, the dual ouputs are the same channel... Its for convienience and good connection as a lot of people want to use really heavy wire... Think of it as a Power Dstribution Block for your speakers..
