So, when are we going to see the Sefugi builds his own damn car log? lol

Better yet, when you coming to SC to hang out with other old people who have problems doing things in moderation? :drink40:

It's one of those things, my son's HU has been so-so from day one. So to make good on his project we are changing it out.

Sefugi has been collecting some peices for the last few months, and will hopfully get to break the ice on it soon. Our family has been hosting 2 foreign exchange students this school year, so having a total of 4 teenagers in the household has put Daddy Sefugi's extra spending money in a pinch.

Who you calling old!? :wavey5:

Time to read 48 pages of an awesome build FTW.

I hope to build something with my son when he is a couple more years older and can appreciate it more. He is 12 now.

When I sold my Blazer he was actually upset as he thought it was gonna get handed down to him. But he showed little intrest at the time.

Sad to see the bumper accident. But I am sure it has made the driver alittle more aware of his surroundings.

Thanks, yes the bumper incident has made him more aware of his surroundings. I can understand your son's being upset, my dad got rid of a car when I was young that I always thought I would get. Blazer? That is the base I am planning my project with.

Blazer? That is the base I am planning my project with.

Here is the direction I went with my Blazer.

With the room and possibilities they hold, I am sure you will do something nice with yours.

I don't blame your son, I would have wanted that too!! :(

Haven't checked in this build in a while. It really came together nicely. This is a perfect example of the importance of doing the job right. Even if this type of car isn't somebodys cup of tea there is still plenty to appreciate in this build. I wish I could have got my old man to put time in with me in the garage when I was young like you have.

Thanks!! Well I did cut some corners on the quality of the headunit and it bit us in the but. That has been corrected and the results are excellent. My son has a great appreciation for quality work now. When lookiing at a vehicle he has an eye for noticing detail and acknowledging the effort put into it.

:thanx: Didn't plan for this thread to become such a long read. I am happy how it turned out and it has been serving him well for transportation.

:bump: This is what happens when you are not carefull backing out of the garage... :suicide-santa: Not how I wanted to display the SSA name. No one was hurt and all can be fixed, I think?

Thank you for the kind words. Has been a great experience for myself and my son. My son has been using this vehicle as his every-day-driver, and it has held up well.

We are evaluating what to do with it over the summer being he will be going off to college next fall and taking it off to college may not be the best thing.

Thanks for checking out the build!!
