What does the saz-3000 bass knob control and how does it control it? Is it gain or boost? does it override the amps settings or does it max out at them?

BTW great amp, My car on score is only .6 db louder compared to the car off!!! I was amazed by this, helps alot for db drag :fing34:

I think it is a remote gain because the bass boost is set at the amp. And nobody really uses it

i was curious about this also (although i have the 1500D). Ive been told its a Remote Gain Knob, So if i set my gain at the amp and start playing with the knob am i overriding that setting or maxing it out... lol just repeated your question.. but its a good question ive been wondering about, thanks for reminding me :D

when you set the gains on your amp the bass knob will turn it up to whatever your gain is on your amp it doesnt just overide the amp and turn it all the way up its so you dont have to go adjust the gains every 5 second if you dont want it that loud right then what i do is set the gains on my amp with an o scope and leave it there then just use the bass knob to adjust the power going to the subs

the remote is a GAIN knob,

How it works simple method (from my understanding):

Lets say you set your amp to output 3krms! then you plug in yrou remote knob. if the remote is turned to the middle positon your amp is NOW outputing 1500rms (around there) the remote gain knob will work withing the original gain settings

so lets say you decided to set your gain at 2krms to allow the sub to break in before tossing all 3krms at it. so in this example the remote will working within a range of 0-2krms and if you ever unplug the remote your gains will remain as they were when you set them before!

understandable?

And by BASS knob you mean GAIN knob right? b/c isn't a BASS knob used to BOOST a certain range of frequencies and not used to control the ampliers output?

when you set the gains on your amp the bass knob will turn it up to whatever your gain is on your amp it doesnt just overide the amp and turn it all the way up its so you dont have to go adjust the gains every 5 second if you dont want it that loud right then what i do is set the gains on my amp with an o scope and leave it there then just use the bass knob to adjust the power going to the subs
