Posted June 2, 201015 yr Okay so obvs this is NOT car audio build log, and i couldn't decide if this belongs in the Off Topic or what so fuck it Most people don't know how it's done, a lot of people ask me.. but it's to complicated to explain in a small conversation.So.. what's better then a build log? This is mainly for my SSA brothers and sisters to kill some time This is going to be a Soccer Field in Scottsdale, AZ It's 14 thousand square feet. This was originally an Inline Hockey Rink, but in AZ Soccer is SO much more popular.Pulling the rolls of Turf off the trailerBefore we touched anythingDropping the rolls of Turf in placeSecond roll droppedKeeeeep em coming!Rolling them outOnce rolled out we have to cut a strip off on one sideAnother rolled out!Third one down!FIFTH ONE DOWN! -- We we're kickin' ass! June 2, 201015 yr Author I've never been on fake turf. How does it feel compared to real grass? Its really soft plastic "fibers" they become warm from the sun and it's really nice on your hands.Turf > GrassThere are MANY different grades of Turf though, from durable Pro Football too soft backyard baby safe Turf.

June 2, 201015 yr Author My turf at my old school has bits of rubber prob the size of a a grain of rice, makes it quite nice doesnt hurt if you fall on itOhhh hell yeah it makes a world of a difference! On a Football field around 80,000 -- 100,000 pounds of rubber is spread out across the field. Its recycled tires from car and such that get grounded up, there is also MANY different grades of rubber too. From ones half size of your pinky finger nail to dust like kind, also have different colors.. mostly white and black though.. more black of anything.Rubber comes in these BIG ass bags that are used to transport peanuts and such and each bag when filled with rubber weighs 2000 -- 3000 pounds.

June 3, 201015 yr Author So today kind of sucked, we didn't get shit done. There was an issue with the Goal boxes and Scott ( client ) was in a meeting ALL day so we had to hold on on doing them till 11 o'clock at night...Straight up a MILLION bugs everywhere! They LOVED the lights and our sunblock.. it was bad. Here's the pictures! With it being Arizona and all we get a lot of heat wrinkles.. some we have to cut open and trim down and glue back down, no biggie. After we fixed some wrinkles, we centered the field off so we could get out Goal boxes cut out.Cut strips of white Turf for the Goal boxes and such.Laid out where the Goal boxes should be-- This is when we had to wait hours too find out Scott wasn't even going to show up.. --So, we said the hell with him and continued on with something else.. like picking dry glue off the Seams. After we picked the SHIT out of the Seams we Groomed them. With this beast hahaNow, on too the center circle..Cut and laid in so we can slice relieve cuts( haha, looks like 3 guys standing around looking at one guy working )On with more gluing, oohhhh joy haha.Glue ready Glue placed in for Center Circle After we laid the glue down and everything for the Center we ended up cutting and gluing the Goal boxes in

June 3, 201015 yr Admin Very cool. I have been playing on turf fields for most of my indoor life. Pretty sweet to see one built. Thank you. BTW, snapped both of my knees on turf, never a serious injury on grass.
