Posted July 10, 201015 yr Ok I'm running 4 12" subs on a 3k @ .5 but i'm planning to change to 4 SA-12 d2's. I'm wondering if I get more power out of 2 1500's strap @ 1 ohm then I would out of the 3k @ .25?
July 10, 201015 yr I would never run an amplifier under .50 ohms. If you're burping for a couple seconds you can do it, don't be surprised if your amplifier burns up.
July 10, 201015 yr I say go with two saz1500 and I hope you have the electrical back them up with. Keep in mind two saz1500 strapped at 1 ohm is just like two amps being ran at 0.5 ohms eachAlso as I bet you already know that running any saz amp under 1 ohm voids warranty also running an amp at 0.25 is suicidal lol because at any given time, since sound is dynamic, you can have up to 4x the amount of current running though that amp which isn't a good idea. Then again on a burp if done right you have nothing to worry about just don't forget to knock on wood first LOLAnd make a build log whatever you decide to do
July 10, 201015 yr Author this is for a brup. I run my 3k @ 2ohms daily and wire it at .5 for comp. I have burp it @ .25 A few dozen times when I had my nightshades in. I have the electrical to back up my setup. I seen the 1500's clamped @ 3800. I was doing 2 1500's @ .5 would be alot easier on my equiment then to keep bruping the 3k @ .25. I just don't what setup would pull more current.
