June 27, 201114 yr Box designs will follow, it probably wont be as low Qts as the 10" and 12" model are I believe, lending to a more average size box, compared to the smaller then average size boxes for the 10" and 12" sizes respectively. About what size are we looking at for sealed applications? Edited June 27, 201114 yr by Dan208
June 27, 201114 yr I think I just found the driver to put in my buddies girlfriends car. This is awesome to have a 15" with 300rms.Any ETA?
June 27, 201114 yr The market for 8" drivers is so small it's pointless to offer one.In particular considering the size of enclosure the 10's go in. I don't see the benefit or need for an 8 in car audio.
June 27, 201114 yr No free demos? How about just free drivers? I'm game.Yay! How much $$$? Where's the 18"? This Dcon 15 will be in the $135 to $139 range. Not the right motor for an 18" version. If that's shipped, I'm definitely going to consider 15s for my possible next build. that's crackhead prices.
June 27, 201114 yr If that's shipped, I'm definitely going to consider 15s for my possible next build. that's crackhead prices. That will not include shipping.
June 27, 201114 yr This thing is going to be very hard to beat if it's in the 160-175 range shipped. Awesome job guys
June 27, 201114 yr this will be something very interesting to think of. i'm in the market for a new sub now that mine is blown to bits. i might have to order 2 of these bad boys
June 27, 201114 yr Author Admin There is not much of a market for 8's, but based on our sales numbers alone of other brands 8's, it is silly for us not to finish the Dcon 8.
June 27, 201114 yr There is not much of a market for 8's, but based on our sales numbers alone of other brands 8's, it is silly for us not to finish the Dcon 8.Call me stupid, but that was what I was thinking.
June 28, 201114 yr Author Admin Indeed I think the 8" market is growing.Well a few years ago, it was really kicking butt. Then the SMD effect took place, and it became bigger is better regardless if it is quality or not. Then recently, 8's have started to make a return to form, but are not selling any where near the numbers 18" sub woofers are.

June 30, 201114 yr anything yet on size of the boxes? i'm very interested in these and would love some specs to see if they'll fit in my spacel
June 30, 201114 yr Author Admin I am working on them, and Mark will update the site once we are happy and settled on a design just like our other drivers.
July 3, 201114 yr didn't mean to sound pushy. i just wanted to order these soon if i have available space, if not i'm going to go with 2 12s. i'm certain i have 5 cubic usable after displacement of the 12s, tuned to 32hz. thanks for the hard work mark and aaron
July 13, 201114 yr Author Admin Finally got a chance to wrap up the box suggestions, after much going back and forth on the larger sealed design and optimal ported:Dcon 15"Sealed: 2.0-3.0ft^3 Sealed Optimal: 3.25-4.0ft^3 Standard Ported: 3.0-4.0ft^3 @ 28-33hz Optimal Ported:4.0-5.0ft^3 @ 28-33hz
July 18, 201114 yr Author Admin I have been getting steady emails and PMs asking that. I have not had a chance or a handy install to try it IB. But based on the amount of interest we are getting for the Dcon 15 in IB, it is probably a very good chance it will be just fine.
